Baek’s Rating ★★★★☆
Hello.
I’m Dr. Baek, from Reve Dental, who is serious about teeth whitening near Sinsa Station.
I visited the Chinese restaurant in front of my home after a long time.
Looking at the date, it had been a full three years. I felt like I’d gotten three years older...
During that time, I got married, had a child, and opened my practice, so there have been many changes.
Putting aside the review that had become a memory, here is my long-awaited return visit.
Jusabu
I wrote last time that it had appeared on Master of Living three times,
and it is a restaurant where the "tangsuyuk" is excellent. It was tastier than expected, and really.. one of the places I’d put on a shortlist.

You can feel its age.
Since the break time is 14:30–17:00, I recommend visiting just after 5:00 p.m.
We visited around 5:30 p.m., and luckily there was no wait.
If there is a wait, you have to stand and wait on that steep staircase. My legs hurt just thinking about it...

The friend who introduced me to Jusabu in my last post is this friend right here.
My best friend, who has now become my closest companion, and someone I will stay close with forever.
The place was still classic, and we had both become three years older. hahaha

This is Jusabu’s menu.
Interestingly, compared with three years ago, the prices for noodles/rice dishes seem to have barely changed.
The ganjajang I had back then is the same price as three years ago... I have to admit this is a kind place.
The dishes seem to have gone up by about 2,000 to 3,000 won.
Today, we ordered the essential "tangsuyuk" that you must try when visiting the Samgakji Station restaurant Jusabu, along with ganso saewoo and ganjajang.
Let the meal begin!!!

Tangsuyuk, small (20,000 won)
The appearance of the fried meat is exactly the same as when I came here three years ago.
Somehow.. hotel-style tangsuyuk seems to aim for thinner, crispier batter,
but the classic, almost cookie-like (!) tangsuyuk batter is what tastes so good.
It has a familiar deliciousness, as if I’ve been eating it for a long time.
Of course, the sauce is sweet and really tasty too, and maybe it tastes even better because it has so many ingredients in it :)

You can request either sauce-poured or dipping style as you like.
We chose dipping style... and once again, it turned into a very satisfying and delicious meal!!!!
For "tangsuyuk," this is truly the best place in Yongsan.

Ganso saewoo (41,000 won)
Ganso saewoo appeared for the second time.
Its fried coating did not look especially crispy. Rather, it had a slightly slippery feel?
The shrimp looked very plump, large, and substantial. There seemed to be just over 10 pieces.

When you pick it up with chopsticks, it may not feel that big at first glance, but...
In my opinion, it was sufficiently fresh, large, and delicious shrimp.
However, the texture of the batter was a bit noticeable, and for me, who wanted sweet-and-sour ganso saewoo, it felt a little off..
But my wife says this is how it was originally, haha.

Ganjajang (8,500 won)
The last dish is ganjajang.
The one that impressed me three years ago with its savory~ flavor...
As expected, the noodles were glossy, and I really liked the smell of the black bean sauce.

The ganjajang I had last time had a sauce that was a little thick (!), so the savory flavor stood out more,
but the ganjajang I ate today had a slightly moister sauce.
It was a little disappointing that the texture was different from my previous visit.
Still, it was delicious, so I finished it quickly.

I heard this restaurant has been in business for more than 50 years,
and even though it had been a while since my last visit, I was still able to enjoy really delicious "tangsuyuk."
The only disappointing part was that the ganso saewoo wasn’t really my style...? ㅎㅎㅎ Still, it remains a restaurant that I think about from time to time.
We ate really well today.!!!
Conclusion
Visit when you want to eat a lot of tangsuyuk!!
The more Chinese food you eat, the more you realize how deep this world is.
Really.. it’s not as if the best food is always at some 5-star hotel, and it’s not as if a shabby-looking place always tastes bad..
Korean food is like that too, right?ㅎㅎ So I think that’s why finding good restaurants is even harder.
Jusabu, which I visited after a long time, continued to preserve its original character over time while still serving delicious tangsuyuk. Since the prices hadn’t risen much, it also didn’t feel too burdensome.
However, hearing that additional orders are difficult on weekends was a little off-putting. Maybe.. it sounded like a line meant to turn away older customers who sit down, drink for a long time, and don’t generate enough hourly turnover.
I understand it, but it still gave me a slightly unfriendly impression. Still.. at an old establishment, you eat for the atmosphere.
Taste: ★★★★☆
Value for money: ★★★★★
Accessibility: ★★★★☆
Facilities: ★★☆☆☆
Parking: None. Use the Yongsan War Memorial parking lot.
The value for money still seems good.
However, while the tangsuyuk I like was still delicious, the ganso saewoo and ganjajang were a little disappointing ^^;;
Anyway, it’s still a place I would gladly revisit. hahaha
Thank you for reading my personally paid restaurant review again today,
I’ll do my best to become a memorable restaurant curator with carefully selected posts. :)
This was Dr. Baek, a dentist who dreams of being both an implant master and a gourmet.
Thank you.!!
