[Ambassador Seoul Pullman] 1955 Groceria - Review of the First 30% Accor Plus Discount After Getting the Accor Infinite Card. As Expected, Good Ingredients Make Good Food.

Hello.

This is the food column by White Director of Cheongdam Dental; Bleaching Rev Dental.

Recently, I visited Cleo at Mondrian Seoul Itaewon.

The place I introduced as the best Mediterranean restaurant!!!

There may not be a place in Korea, or even in a 5-star hotel, that serves Mediterranean food. Mondrian is part of Accor, and because there are so many foreigners, I guess that’s one of the benefits it has.

I ate well and left, and since I was signed up for Accor membership, I got a 10% discount.

But then I found out that if you have the Accor Infinite Woori Card I already knew about, you can get a 30% discount.

This one right here... Once you get it issued and pay the annual fee, it automatically enrolls you in Accor Plus membership.

If you show that Accor Plus membership, you can get a whopping 30% discount at restaurants in Accor-affiliated hotels.

Accor points are worth 0.02 euros per point, so when exchange rates rise, it’s simply a gain. So I just went ahead and got the card!!

With this, I’ve now covered the third hotel PLCC card, after Marriott and Hilton, and now Accor too..

1955 Groceria

After getting the card, I was thinking where to go~~ and then pasta sounded just right, so I went here.

At most 5-star hotels, the ingredients themselves are good, so deliciousness is pretty much guaranteed.

So I’m leaving a brief review of my visit.

Location: 1st floor, Ambassador Seoul Pullman, 287 Dongho-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul

Parking: Valet available.

A colleague had his wedding here. About 10 years ago, I think...

This was my first time back since then. Haha. I remember the buffet was pretty good back then.

Anyway, if you hand over your car for valet parking here and come in on the first floor, the restaurant is right in front of you.

Exterior

I actually made a reservation almost exactly at opening time.

I was told over the phone that we could wait... so I visited after reserving for three adults and one child!

In the end, a reservation isn’t necessary~ haha. There was plenty of seating.

Interior

It had a very clean and pretty interior.

Since it’s on the first floor, I also liked that sunlight came in from outside.

I even thought, “I wish Searhan would just take care of all the Accor hotels” (!) lol

It was an open kitchen, and I really loved this kind of neat interior.

The staff were also extremely kind... they prepared a child’s chair and utensils very well too.

There is Korean food at lunch, but only Western food at dinner.

When you visit, you can view the menu on a tablet. I extracted this from the website.

First, today’s goal was the 'grilled octopus salad'.

Grilled octopus is always delicious~ haha

I came for pasta, but the steak looked way too good!!

So I chose the 'US Prime tenderloin steak'.

I was deciding what spaghetti to get, and after being recommended, I chose the 'Crab & Shrimp Butter Sauce Spaghetti'.

Lastly, I wanted to try the sea urchin roe and pollock roe cream rigatoni, but it was unavailable... so I chose the 'Tomato Seafood Spaghetti'.

Let’s start the meal!!!

This is the pre-meal whole wheat bread.

It was moist and delicious. A plain bread like this is really nice to start a meal with!

And they gave out unlimited La Conviette butter...

For a butter lover, this is a blessing.

Grilled Octopus Salad (28,000 won)

The first dish to appear was the salad.

The properly grilled octopus had a pleasantly tender texture.

The crispy outside and moist inside were excellent!!!!

The octopus is important and delicious, but the little bit of fruit and the flavorful olives with it are also amazing.

The three adults ate it in no time, seriously. A very good start, right..!? haha

Tomato Seafood Spaghetti (37,000 won)

The other three dishes appeared almost at the same time.

Personally, this Tomato Seafood Spaghetti was really delicious.

I only have one photo.....

First of all, the portion is quite generous. You’ll definitely feel full as you eat.

They use good spaghetti noodles, so the texture is really nice. They must be Italian noodles.

The tomato flavor is quite deep and rich. How should I put it... this feels really legit!!

There was quite a lot of grilled octopus inside, so it felt like the flavors slightly overlapped.

Crab & Shrimp Butter Sauce Spaghetti (38,000 won)

They made spaghetti with crab, shrimp, and butter.

How could this not be delicious!?!??!?

This was a dish I had high expectations for.

If you turn your head slightly, you can see the ingredients inside more clearly.

First of all, the shrimp is really plump and delicious. The size alone is big-big!

And as expected, the texture and taste of the pasta noodles are so good. Haha even now, while writing this, I want to eat it..

If anything, the tomato pasta had the stronger impact.

Personally, I used to really like the pasta at the lounge of Lotte Hotel Seoul, but this place is also a strong contender. Haha

US Prime Tenderloin Steak (140g, 58,000 won)

It’s a shame I only have one photo of the tenderloin steak.

The portion is a little small, but this medium-cooked tenderloin steak was truly delicious.

To compare it personally, it felt like the tenderloin steak you get as part of a course meal at a hotel wedding~!?

That exact feeling lol. But it came out freshly prepared, so it was really tasty.

The potato salad and grilled vegetables hidden behind it were also great!!!!

Today, I ate really, really well again.!!!

Conclusion

The Accor Plus discount is more generous than I expected!!

As exchange rates have gone up, I felt that the value of Accor points had also gone up, so I got the Accor Infinite Woori Card.

The card itself has good benefits, but the Accor Plus benefit that comes with it is quite substantial.

The restaurants on the list — actually, most Korean Accor hotel restaurants — give a 30% discount.

Considering that hotel memberships I usually have, like Lotte, Josun, Shilla, and Parnas, max out at 20%, 30% is really nice.

The annual fee is 500,000 won, but if you recover it with 14,000 won in points and use Accor points to book when traveling to Japan, you can easily get your money’s worth. And if you keep getting discounts every time you eat at Pullman, Sofitel, and so on, it’s basically a card you should just get no matter what. Choose the gold one if you want it to look even shinier.

Anyway!!!! 1955 Groceria, which I started with for this first visit. It was truly a restaurant with a high level of satisfaction.

The quality of Ambassador Seoul Pullman Hotel made the whole experience pleasant, and the dishes made with good ingredients were really tasty and easy to enjoy.

It was also good to go with a child. I found another great restaurant close to home.

Korean food is only available at lunch, while Western food can be ordered for both lunch and dinner.

A pleasant restaurant discovered after Mondrian Seoul Cleo! I should use it often.

If I visit again next time... I think I’ll probably go for the Korean food ^^
