Bruxism Botox at Sinsa Station is LeB Dental Clinic.

In the patient’s photo, the muscle forming the square-jaw line is the masseter muscle.

The masseter muscle is also called the jaw-closing muscle.

It is the muscle circled in blue. When the muscle shortens, it pulls the lower jaw upward.

That is the movement of closing the mouth.

The temporal muscle, also called the temple muscle, is the broad fan-shaped muscle shown above.

Unlike the masseter muscle described earlier, it attaches to the hidden side of the lower jawbone and closes the mouth when it shortens.

So we decided to inject Botox into the masseter and temporal muscles.

Personally, I think the best product is Germany’s Xeomin.

It is more highly purified and removes factors that could cause resistance!

However, the purchase price of Xeomin is extremely high. Just buying 100 units costs well over 200,000 won...

It is also said to be more purified to reduce resistance, and it is a domestic product with a much lower price than Xeomin.

If you are using only a small amount for cosmetic purposes, that may be fine, but bruxism Botox at a dental clinic is used therapeutically in higher doses, so whenever possible, I recommend using a product from a large, trustworthy company.

Two weeks had passed. The patient said that the teeth grinding seemed to have decreased a bit after the bruxism Botox.

And the important thing is that when I palpated the area by hand, the feeling of the muscle being hard had decreased significantly.

If the muscle is used less, its volume definitely decreases, and muscle pain also decreases a lot.

How often are you doing it?

How much dosage are you using?

The cycle and dosage are very, very subjective depending on how severe the patient’s bruxism is.

Usually, for masseter Botox, the standard is 25 units per side, and the dosage is adjusted up or down while checking the patient’s symptoms every 3 to 6 months. For patients with really severe symptoms, as much as 100 units per side may be used.

In the case of the temporal muscle, its shape is different from the masseter muscle, and the muscle is thin and spread out widely.

It is used in the areas where palpation shows the muscle is developed, and usually around 25 units seems to be the standard.

After the first Botox treatment, the cycle can be set at 3 months, and after that, it can be determined by setting the interval at about 3 to 6 months.

If the patient feels comfortable, then the treatment goal has been achieved!
