Hello.
I’m Dr. Baek, the dentist who takes care of the smiles of Korea’s front teeth.
In my last two posts, I shared reviews of the room and the Italian restaurant at Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo, which I visited this past March!
Of course, I also posted them so I could look back on them myself :) haha
Bvlgari Tokyo, located in one of the world’s three major cities, Tokyo, and holding a top position among high-end hotels.
The hotel itself feels like a work of art, a luxurious and refined space.
Among them, the highlight is the Bvlgari Bar.
I heard there is a similar space at Bvlgari Shanghai as well, and you can think of it as the club lounge of the Bvlgari Hotel.
That’s why it’s not as expensive as you might expect, and it has the 특징 of prioritizing hotel guests.
The Bvlgari Bar
(The Bvlgari bar)
It is located on the upper floors of Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo, and you need to take a separate elevator from the lobby to get there.
You can visit any time for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, choose a menu suited to the time of day, and enjoy it.
I’ll leave a post about this incredibly beautiful space~!

Was I so excited when I got upstairs? Looking back at the photos, it seems my wife was striking a pose imitating a model.. haha
Anyway, when you get off the dedicated elevator, you’ll see the words ‘Bvlgari Bar’ on the left.

The space that unfolds is beauty itself.
It really feels like a work of art!!!
It has a very Italian sensibility.
*** One thing I noticed while using it is that this place seems to operate solely as a space for hotel guests.
There are signs that say Reserved at many of the seats, and it seemed like they were simply reserving the space for hotel guests... (Of course, this is just my opinion.) So even if there appears to be an open seat when you walk in, it seems that in many cases you may not be able to use it.
According to rumors, people who have used Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo before are given seats a little more easily (?)... (There are plenty of negative comments on Google, but it seems the hotel doesn’t care at all..)

I don’t drink alcohol, so I’ve never sat at the bar counter, but.. it was truly the most beautiful bar seating I’ve ever seen.
In a space that looks so Western in style, you can even drink Japanese whisky!

I took a few photos on the first day just to preserve the atmosphere of the space.
I’m sure even the tables and sofas were each made directly by Bvlgari as luxury items...

If you step outside, an overwhelmingly impressive view unfolds..
The skyline view overlooking downtown Tokyo is truly, truly artistic.
How much effort must Bvlgari have put in to secure a place like this? And how much effort must Tokyo have put in?
Looking down from above, you can see all of downtown Tokyo at a glance!!
I really thought it would be hard to find a better observation deck than this.. haha

I visited on the first evening of my stay at Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo, and I was shown to a window seat with that view (?) you saw earlier.
The leather chairs were so stylish.
One distinctive feature is that they remember all the guests’ faces, so they welcome you warmly every time you visit!!
(In other words, they recognize walk-in visitors at a glance ? and then block them at the entrance...)

I also visited the Bvlgari Café, but somehow this place feels like they put even more effort into it.
When you open the Bvlgari Bar menu, various cocktails are described with illustrations.
Of course, the top item, The Bvlgari Cocktail, has a visual that makes you feel like you should try it, right?

This is roughly the feeling of the bar where I sat and looked around!
Really.. most of the guests were white, with a small number of Japanese guests. I don’t remember seeing many Korean guests.
The floor is so beautiful, and the paintings on the walls have an amazing feel too~ haha

These are The Bvlgari Bar mocktail menu items. Mocktails are non-alcoholic cocktails.

There were many dessert items.
At night, you should order a dessert menu item, right!?

If you look at the menu, you’ll see there are also several simple food items.
Today, I didn’t come to fill up—I came to enjoy the atmosphere~...

The BVLGARI Cocktail (3,800 yen)
BVLGARI Super Lemonade (2,800 yen)

Of course! The one on the left is the Bvlgari Cocktail, and the one on the right is the Bvlgari Lemonade.
The Bvlgari Cocktail is gin-based and contains orange, pineapple, and lime juice.
Because it had a lot of juice, it was refreshing and tasty, but the gin was a bit bitter, which couldn’t really be helped. haha
It tastes classy and expensive, I’d say. haha Still, considering all of Bvlgari’s prices, this was pretty good...
The Bvlgari Lemonade was a mocktail, so it was non-alcoholic, and it was just delicious.
It was so tasty that I ordered it again next time haha It became my wife’s favorite.

How should I describe the atmosphere?
It was an enchanting time ^^

Cannononcino al pistacchio (3,500 yen)
A dessert we ordered after being recommended it.
It’s made with pistachio-flavored custard cream, topped with a caramel-coated pastry.
The texture of the very soft cream was impressive, and the downside was that the pastry crumbled when you tried to eat it (?) but honestly, while eating it I thought, money is really something good..... I should reflect on that.

It’s a wonderful night. Delicious cocktails and a beautiful dessert.

Tokyo’s night sky really looks like a city that could shine forever. haha
The Bvlgari Bar, one more visit!

The next day, while lying down in the room, I thought it was our last night.. and since I was sad, I visited the Bvlgari Bar once more!
Actually.. I went because I was thinking, if not now, when would I ever come again~ ㅎㅎ
This time, they showed us to a seat facing the bar directly!
A place full of fashionistas gathered from all over the world~ :)

We opened the same menu again today...
I ordered a cocktail called SERPENTI. Looking at Bvlgari jewelry, I understand that the serpent-shaped line is called SERPENTI.

My wife went with a mocktail again!
She ordered a non-alcoholic cocktail called Forest Fruit.

SERPENTI (3,800 yen)
Forest Fruit (2,800 yen)
The cocktails today were beautiful too :)
Clean design and taste. When you take photos, the cocktails come out looking like luxury goods!!

They gave us popcorn again. That was complimentary..

Fried Baby Squids (2,900 yen)
Fried squid served with two lemon slices for squeezing and tartar sauce.
Somehow it feels a little heartbreaking that the word BABY is in the name...ㅠ.ㅠ

Anyway, our last night at Bvlgari Tokyo was passing by,
and the fact that we were together yesterday and today.

A kind staff member took a lovely photo for us!
The painting in the background is also quite striking ^^
The Bvlgari Bar, Lunch

While deciding what to eat for lunch, I suddenly became curious about the Bvlgari Bar lunch menu once more, so I stopped by.
The colors during the day definitely seem prettier. What a luxurious-looking interior..

This was the seat we were shown to.
Originally.. there was a RESERVED sign placed there!!!! But when hotel guests visit, they greet you with a smile, move it, and take care of it.. I think it’s fair to see the Bvlgari Bar as a club lounge for hotel guests.

I kept taking photos because the colors were so beautiful :)
The reason there were curtains in the back was because a wedding was being held outside!
A wedding at a luxury hotel overlooking the Tokyo skyline—it sounds so enviable and romantic!!

This is the Bvlgari menu we received at lunch.
There was a course menu. Since there wasn’t a big price difference from à la carte, we decided to order à la carte for more freedom.

Actually, there’s only one menu, but it feels like I kept taking photos of it....
Anyway, you can just order whatever you want here.

My wife’s beloved Bvlgari Lemonade mocktail!!
I had an iced latte for the first time in a while.

Tagliatelle with veal ragu sauce (4,800 yen)
Tagliatelle pasta—flat, ribbon-shaped noodles—tossed with ragu sauce.

You can sprinkle a generous amount of cheese on top like on the right,
and honestly, who wouldn’t like a rich, thick ragu pasta....
I thought it would still be delicious even if it cost 45,000 won.

Piadina with ham, rocket leaves, and goat cheese with fried potatoes (4,600 won)
Piadina refers to an Italian-style dish where ham, cheese, and other ingredients are sandwiched between traditional flatbread.
Rocket leaves are basically arugula... and in between there is goat cheese and ham!..

That’s this one. haha
With plenty of good ingredients, it can’t help but be fresh and tasty...
As I kept eating, I was getting fuller and fuller....

Tiramisu (3,200 yen)
The last item is tiramisu!!
I think I saw somewhere that I absolutely had to try this, so I ordered it... I was full, but I scraped every last bit and finished it.
It was expensive, but lunch was really delicious too.. For reference, the menu items were around 130,000 won..
As with other restaurants, The Bvlgari Bar is the flower of Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo.
The interior is designed in such an Italian style that while you’re in that space, you can’t even tell whether you’re in Japan or Italy... haha
In some ways, you might think it’s a bit nonsensical to come to Tokyo, Japan, and eat Italian food, but I felt that Italian food designed for sale in Japan might suit me even more than the kind you eat in real Italy.
It’s such a wonderful space, and if you stay at Bvlgari Tokyo, go twice and go three times :)
Oh, and if you’re not a guest, I’ve been turned away at the entrance several times because there were no seats.. so don’t be too hurt by it..
That’s the daily life of Dr. Baek, the dentist ^^
