American Express Centurion Lounge – Review of Haneda Airport (+ Louis Vuitton Passport Stamp)

I’ve finished my Tokyo hotel-staycation posts!!

The last one is about the American Express Centurion Lounge at Haneda Airport.

If you’re flying Korean Air, this is probably a place you’ll naturally get to visit, right?

American Express Centurion Lounge (Haneda Airport)

I heard about its opening quite some time ago, but I’m only visiting now.

This is my review from my trip in March!!

It’s located on the fourth floor. After coming out into the departure area, just keep going left and you’ll be able to find it without much difficulty.

You have to go a little farther than the shops selling food and souvenirs.

(Those of you who visit Tokyo often probably know this even better, right..? Haha)

There were more people than I expected.

Even though it was quite late...

I think there were about 15 people, but we didn’t wait for 30 minutes.

In the photo on the right, you can see the cards that are accepted.

I had the Hyundai American Express Platinum card, and as far as I know, it allows entry for up to two guests, for a total of three people.

If you have the impressive black Centurion Card, you can enter directly without waiting.

Apparently, the food is the same, but the seating areas are separated.

It was crowded. Hahaha.

You’ll be able to meet people of many different nationalities here. As expected, Tokyo has lots of travelers~ LOL

After standing in front of the letters that proudly and beautifully spell out “Centurion Lounge,”

my turn finally approaches. Haha.

They guide people in one by one as their turns come, so you just have to stand there and wait~

The seats we were shown were two seats along the wall.

There are also window seats and seats in the main hall.

There were more people than I expected, and it was really packed.

The food seemed to be arranged in three main sections: main dishes, the bar, and desserts.

The bar was more impressive than I expected.

And the view outside the window was of the runway with airplanes, which made it quite exciting~ Haha.

I didn’t have time to try any alcohol.

Taking a closer look at the main dishes... (There were actually so many people that I couldn’t take photos leisurely. T_T)

The salad section occupied a fairly large area. White people really do seem to like salad. As someone with a childlike palate, I passed on it...

I feel this way whenever I visit a lounge in Japan, but the curry and hayashi rice are really delicious!

When you eat them with rice, they’re incredibly addictive~ The Centurion Lounge was the same. Haha.

There were also a few types of bread.

There were many white people, so bread seemed to be quite popular! As I’ll show you shortly, there were also quite a few desserts.

There were also plenty of drinks available~

There was draft beer, fresh fruit juice, and all kinds of soft drinks!

The dessert section was also surprisingly well stocked.

There were delicious-looking Japanese sweets, stacks of bread like this, and cookies too~!

A friendly Japanese staff member let us take a generous amount.

However, the main reason Haneda Airport’s Centurion Lounge is famous is undoubtedly the sushi section!

I’m not exactly sure what the wording means, but even at a glance, this place has a very refined, high-end feel.

There were Type A and Type B options, so you could choose one!

This is what we ended up getting.

I can’t say the sushi was heavenly, but the sashimi was tasty enough, so I personally enjoyed it.

I remember eating it and then going back for more.....

The desserts were also more satisfying than I expected. Since the American Express Centurion Lounge isn’t a restaurant~~ I think this was more than enough for a satisfying experience!

Oh, one more thing! At the Louis Vuitton store at Haneda Airport, I figured I’d ask just in case. Following what ChatGPT told me, I asked whether they could stamp my passport, and after checking around, they gave me one just like this!

However, you need to have at least 90 minutes remaining before departure.. and, of course, the passport holder must be a Louis Vuitton product!! (Mine was more than 10 years old. Hahaha.) I could choose between gold and silver, and I chose gold!! If you happen to have enough time, keep this in mind ^^

I feel like I managed to take care of quite a few things along the way. If you’re flying Korean Air, you’ll probably be able to stop by the American Express Centurion Lounge on your way back. If you have the Hyundai American Express Platinum card, this is one of its small perks, so be sure to enjoy it!

Personally, I liked the Centurion Lounge at LAX Airport better~~ but there isn’t really anywhere else quite like this in Asia.
