[JW Marriott Jeju] Panorama Suite vs. Premium King Ocean View (NUA, 60,000 Points, and a Shinhan Bonvoy Free Night Award) + Baby Amenities, Pools, and Play Facilities

I'm Director Baek of Rev Dental, the place famous for teeth whitening.

In May 2026, I visited JW Marriott Jeju for the first time in a while.

It has already been over three months. I've been so busy with everyday life that I haven't been able to post reviews properly, and I feel bad about it.

I previously took my daughter to Grand Josun Jeju and Parnas Jeju to use up complimentary membership nights. This time, I visited JW Marriott Jeju using a Shinhan Marriott Bonvoy free night award, some points, and an NUA, and this is my review of how I maximized the stay.

I booked two rooms for two nights each, for a total of four nights, but unfortunately, only one room for one night was upgraded to a Panorama Suite.

Instead, the other room was provided as a Premium King Ocean View for two nights. It was a room with its own pros and cons.

My previous JW Marriott review is somewhat old. Still, not much has changed. It remains a pleasant high-end hotel in Jeju. I was still traveling with my daughter, and I continued to think that JW Marriott Jeju is a wonderful place to visit with a child.

JW Marriott Jeju Resort & Spa

I think it offers the best value among Marriott hotels in Korea. Haha.

When visiting Jeju, there are many choices in the Jungmun Tourist Complex, including Shilla and Lotte, but there is nowhere better for quietly enjoying time together.

The room rates are rather steep, but for now, it is still our family's number-one choice.

(It provides reasonably good recognition for Marriott elite members, breakfast benefits are still easy to use, and the NUA is not bad either.)

After renting a car, we stopped for a bowl of apple mango bingsu on the way—earning praise for choosing a good place to eat—and then hurried over to the hotel, where we also had valet parking taken care of.

The staff provide excellent service, and I am always grateful.

Quite a few credit cards offer complimentary valet parking, so be sure to check in advance before you go!

I'm just writing this for my own reference, so I'll keep it casual.

May is considered the off-season for travel in Korea, and the spring and autumn weather is truly wonderful.

Jeju's gentle, breezy weather brings back fond memories of trips to Jeju in the past. ^^

As always, the service is excellent.

JW Marriott is, of course, a very well-known brand—it is also one of Marriott's six top-tier brands—and quite a few Chinese guests can be seen here as well.

Although award-night prices have gone up, points are still a better deal than paying cash.

When you sit in the chair in front of this impressive artwork, they bring you ice cream like this.

It is delicious. The fact that “JW Marriott Jeju” is written in Korean is a nice touch, isn't it?

Premium King, Guest Room, 1 King Bed, Ocean View

I booked the lowest room category with points. I booked it with a Shinhan Marriott Bonvoy free night award plus 25,000 points, for a total of 60,000 points. I also used an NUA, but it wasn't applied!!

Still, when we arrived, they upgraded us from a garden view—the room we had booked—to an ocean view.

For reference, I am including the rate from a day in September: this room costs around 1.5 million won. It seems to range from approximately 1.3 to 1.5 million won.

The hallways are always a pretty forsythia yellow.

It is an ocean-view room!

In fact, this was my first time staying in an ocean-view room.

The room is clearly identical to the garden-view room. But I felt that it was somehow a little narrower, and the bathtub seemed slightly smaller. Haha. It could just have been my imagination, but the other room we had booked at the same time was a garden-view room, so I think I may be right. Haha.

I am personally very satisfied with the bedding as well.

It does seem like the room should command a rate of at least 1 million won.

I always sit on this sofa to work on my computer and chat.

Even now, I miss that day in May. ^^;;

And if you sit out on the balcony by the window, it looks like you could enjoy some time gazing out at the sea, right?

It is technically an ocean view, but since the floor was not very high—I think it was the third floor—it was a little less impressive than I had hoped.

We could hear sounds from the ground more clearly than the sea. Haha.

Still, thanks to the upgrade, we got to see it for ourselves.

Those who know, know: JW Marriott Jeju has a double vanity.

Of course, it is separate from the bathtub, so the vanity is generally used only for simple purposes.

The yellow silicone bag is provided for various uses, and it is especially handy when going to the pool.

I like that the amenities are from Bvlgari, but they are actually completely different from the ones at Bvlgari hotels.

The ones at Bvlgari hotels are much richer and higher quality!!!

The scent is still pleasant, but the JW Marriott Jeju amenities have a much weaker staying power.

The bathtub is definitely a little small!!!

Still, it is more than spacious enough for one person to lie down in.

As you can see from the inside of the bathtub, there seemed to be some signs of repairs in the middle, which made it feel like the passage of time was showing.

I thought, “Oh, I’m getting older too.”

When you lie in the bathtub, the ocean view spreads out before you.

Lying in warm water and zoning out for a while helps ease thoughts about work that otherwise never leave my mind, even for 24 hours.

The sink area is arranged as a separate space like this. The vanity is there as well.

As you can see from the vanity, there are quite a few signs of age.

I feel like it could have been preserved much better if it had been scrubbed with a steel-wool pad, but it was disappointing to see the color continuing to peel away. ㅠㅠ

The one thing found only here: an ice maker. I've never used it.

I haven't made coffee here either. Haha.

I don't even eat much from the minibar, so why do I always take pictures of it? Haha.

Since there is no convenience store nearby, the minibar may actually be somewhat useful.

I do use minibars abroad, but for some reason, I rarely reach for them in Korea.

Still, it is nice that there is a minibar at all. Even five-star hotels in Korea sometimes have nothing in the minibar, which always feels a little disappointing.

The cup and coaster have a distinctly Korean touch, although they have ended up being used mainly for display.

There were also snacks, but honestly, they did not look particularly appetizing. Haha.

Oh, I didn't really look closely at what this was. ;;

This is the JW Marriott Jeju information booklet from May 2026, when I visited.

I already knew this, but the breakfast discount certificate from the Marriott Bonvoy The Best Shinhan Card—the breakfast benefit I have to use—has restrictions.

It can no longer be used for lunch or dinner!!! It is now valid only for breakfast.

Since I had Titanium status, breakfast was complimentary for up to two adults and one child. We ordered one additional breakfast, so the adults and our child were all able to eat well, and we used the breakfast benefit twice during our two-night stay.

We were able to receive a 15% discount on dinner. More on that in the next post. ^^

Panorama Suite, 1-Bedroom Suite, 1 King Bed, Ocean View

The real highlight of this trip was the Panorama Suite!!

I invested 60,000 points and combined them with an NUA to achieve this result. Thank you to JW Marriott Jeju.

I will also work hard to finish the year well and try to earn Titanium again this year...

On expensive dates, this impressive room commands a rate of over 2 million won.

However, I did not actually stay in it, so I do not have many photos.

It is a corner room on the fifth floor. When you open the door, the living room immediately comes into view, along with the ocean beyond.

Personally, I think it is in one of the better locations for a room with a nice view.

I should have taken this photo before unpacking!!! What a shame. Haha.

There was a table with four chairs and a living room sofa. The bed in the distance was an extra bed and linens provided for an additional fee.

The room is located in the east wing of JW Marriott Jeju Resort. You can see both the garden and the sea, so I personally thought it was quite nice. There may also be rooms with a completely unobstructed view of the sea.

For a view in Jeju, isn't this good enough? Haha. Still, the ocean views in the Jungmun Tourist Complex do feel a little more like the open sea, don't they?

Looking from the living room toward the bedroom, you see a magnificent king bed, followed by a second bed.

We came to Jeju for a trip, yet we have both a living room and a master bedroom. Haha.

If you open the door on the right, a bathroom fit for a palace appears.

The only disappointment was that someone in our party was using the bathroom, so I couldn't take a picture of it!! Hahaha.

In any case, the fact that the room was made so impressively spacious was genuinely pleasant and memorable.

It is a wonderful room that occasionally comes to mind out of nowhere. Hahaha.

The rest of the facilities are more or less the same.

There is a double vanity inside the bathroom, along with a more generously sized bathroom area, which was nice.

I remember our child excitedly running around all day. Haha.

Baby Amenities

I had asked them by phone in advance to prepare these items, although of course we did not use everything.

They said they would provide a variety of things, so...

First, I was surprised to see a Baby Brezza, something I had never even used in the real world. I heard it is difficult to clean.....

At a hotel that even has an ice maker, making hot water is no trouble at all.

Our daughter does not like it, but the Bugaboo crib is nice.

I think Grand Josun Jeju and Park Hyatt Busan had these too. It seems to be the standard. ^^

They also provide a Bugaboo stroller. It is quite luxurious.

When the equipment is good, it makes things less tiring for Mom and Dad. ^^

They even provide a U-pang sterilizer. It seems they have everything.

Baby equipment may not be available if you do not reserve it in advance, so be sure to request it ahead of time.

Outdoor and Indoor Pools

I had never played in the indoor pool at JW Marriott Jeju before—of course, because I assumed it would not be much fun!

But once you have a baby, it becomes an absolutely wonderful space. Haha.

Water trickles out here, and our not-yet-two-year-old loved it so much that she ran around screaming with delight. Hahaha.

She was incredibly cute, and it became a memorable experience for us. Haha.

After bundling her up like this, our daughter simply ran around all day~~

In the past, snacks were served outdoors, but now they serve them at the indoor pool.

They tasted better when they were served outside!!

What can I say about the outdoor pool? It is such a pleasant place, isn't it?

I think I slept on the sunbed for an hour. I was genuinely happy..

When you lie there, you naturally understand why Westerners lie in the sun.

At times like this, I really wish I could come to Jeju for a whole month. Haha.

Our family photos are memories, after all~~ Haha.

The men's shower room was completely empty.

Despite its age, this area was being kept very clean!

Interestingly, the amenities in this shower room are from Byredo.

Rather than the ubiquitous Mojave Ghost, these products had a scent I personally liked better.

We had a little time left on our last day, so the whole family gathered to play in the kids' club ball pit.

Before having a child, it was a space I had little interest in, but it turned out to be a pretty good little area, set up so that young children can play by themselves if left there.

Our child was not old enough to participate in the kids' programs, so we played with her for a while and then left. Haha.

The final journey home!!

I did not take any photos, but the Jin Air business-class flight there and the Korean Air business-class flight back were simply in different classes of service. I think the prices were similar, though.

You should definitely take Korean Air for a more comfortable trip!!! If you do not have a baby, you can take a short nap and arrive before you know it. Haha.

In any case, that was a review of our daughter's second Jeju trip, which was a success despite being short.
