Hello.
I’m Choi Won-woo, a dermatologist with 23 years of experience at Wells Dermatology Clinic.
Interest in skin anti-aging continues to grow day by day, but it is often overlooked that hair reveals age just as much as the face does.
A scalp that appears more prominent, hair that no longer sets the way it used to, and the feeling that the thickness of the hair in your hand has clearly changed. Many people who notice these changes come to our clinic.
Today, I’d like to go one step further from the principles of the Cera Exosome procedure I mentioned earlier and talk about the specific protocol for the hair rejuvenation therapy that we actually apply at Wells Dermatology Clinic.
I will explain, based on our clinical experience, how Cera Exosome and Ditology NMN are combined to bring change to aging hair.

Why existing hair loss treatments are not enough
I have mentioned this in a previous post as well, but I will briefly go over it again.
Propecia, a representative existing hair loss treatment, is a medication that suppresses the hormone called DHT.
It is effective for hereditary hair loss, but when the function of stem cells has declined due to aging, the approach has to be different.
Minoxidil also plays a role in improving scalp blood flow by dilating blood vessels, but there are limits to expecting it to reactivate follicle stem cells that have already become less functional.
The thinning hair that people begin to notice after their 40s, meaning hair that becomes generally finer and loses strength, is not a hormonal issue but something that stems from cellular aging itself.
That is why aging-related hair loss requires a fundamentally different approach—one that sends regeneration signals back to the cells and restores energy metabolism.

What Cera Exosome does: the process of turning over the soil
Cera Exosome is a type of microbe-derived exosome, a vesicle about 100 nanometers in size whose outer membrane is composed of sphinganine, a lipid that forms the basic structure of ceramide.
Compared with conventional stem-cell-derived exosomes, there are two major reasons Cera Exosome has attracted attention in hair treatment.
First, it has the ability to effectively penetrate the scalp barrier.
The sphinganine that forms Cera Exosome’s outer membrane has a lipid structure similar to the components of the skin barrier, allowing it to naturally pass through the scalp’s stratum corneum and deliver active ingredients deep into the hair follicles.
Second, it has excellent high-temperature stability.
A product with high stability means that the active ingredients are delivered to the scalp intact without denaturation, which is a major advantage in terms of procedural reproducibility and consistency of effect.
When Cera Exosome reaches the hair follicle, it reactivates the growth signaling system that had been weakened by aging.
Simply put, you can think of it as turning over soil that has become too compacted for a seed to grow and then supplying nutrients.

What Ditology NMN does: the process of refilling energy
If Cera Exosome’s role is to organize the follicle environment, Ditology NMN’s role is to refill the energy that follicle cells actually need to function.
NMN is a precursor that produces NAD+, a coenzyme in our bodies.
NAD+ plays a key role in cellular energy production, DNA repair, and the activation of sirtuins, which are often called longevity genes.
The problem is that NAD+ levels in the body naturally decrease as we age.
When cells become deficient in NAD+, they are no longer able to produce energy efficiently, which soon leads to a decline in regenerative capacity.
The same is true for hair follicle stem cells. Even if they receive growth signals through Cera Exosome, if there is insufficient energy inside the cells, the process of responding to those signals and creating new hair does not proceed smoothly.
When Ditology NMN is used together, aging follicle cells regain sufficient energy and can respond more effectively to the regenerative signals delivered by Cera Exosome.
To use another analogy, if Cera Exosome is the process of turning over the soil and planting the seed, NMN is like supplying sunlight and water so that the seed can sprout and take root.

Wells Dermatology Clinic hair rejuvenation therapy protocol
At Wells Dermatology Clinic, we do not simply apply Cera Exosome and Ditology NMN side by side. Instead, we design and implement a protocol so that each role can work in the optimal sequence.
First, Cera Exosome and Hair Booster are directly delivered into the scalp, sending the key amino acids of keratin, the main hair protein, and hair growth signals deep into the hair follicles.
After that, spermidine and keratin protein in Ditology NMN are supplemented to activate intracellular energy metabolism and strengthen the structural foundation of the hair.
Spermidine is an ingredient that has been reported in recent clinical studies to help maintain hair stem cell function and support hair growth.
The treatment interval is usually once every two weeks. During the intensive treatment period, five to ten sessions are recommended, and after that, maintenance is performed once every one to two months.
There is no special downtime after the procedure, and you can return to daily life right away.
In actual clinical practice, patients who have consistently continued the program have shown improvement in the thickness of thinning hair and the growth of new hair.
Of course, because results vary from person to person, we cannot guarantee the same outcome for everyone, but for those who have felt limited by existing drug treatments, it can be a worthwhile alternative to consider.

In closing,
Aging-related hair loss does not mean the hair follicles are dead; it means the cell’s energy and regenerative signals have both weakened.
That is why we call this combination of approaches hair rejuvenation therapy: revitalizing the follicle environment with Cera Exosome and replenishing cellular energy with NMN.
Just as you invest in skin anti-aging, I hope you will also take an interest in hair anti-aging.
Full, healthy hair is the surest secret to looking youthful, more so than any procedure.
