As time passes after liposuction, certain areas may
feel hard to the touch,
and you may feel a lumped-up sensation along with
reduced sensation.

These changes are commonly referred to as BioBond,
but they actually refer to a fibrotic reaction that
appears during the tissue recovery process after
liposuction.
In the process of tissues sticking together and
becoming firmer to fill the space left after fat has
been removed,
this kind of sensation can occur,
and the degree to which it is felt varies depending on
an individual’s recovery speed and the extent of the
suction.

The problem is that it is difficult to judge for
yourself whether this change is within the normal
range of recovery or whether it is a condition that
needs to be checked.
So when lumps or changes in sensation appear,
rather than hastily assuming they are side effects,
you need a perspective that distinguishes them based
on the progress over time.
Reasons for Lumps and Reduced Sensation
The lumps felt after the procedure may be a reaction
that occurs as the internal tissues settle into place.

In particular, if liposuction was performed as well,
the tissue layer has been stimulated once again,
so firmness may be felt for a longer period during
the recovery process.
The phenomenon of reduced sensation is also, in most
cases, not because the nerves have been damaged,
but rather because they have been temporarily
pressed or irritated.

These reactions often gradually subside over time.
However, if the area of concern widens or pain is
accompanied by it, it needs to be distinguished from
a simple recovery process.
Signs That Should Be Distinguishable from Liposuction Side Effects
Side effects that may appear after liposuction can be
divided into those that are predictable within a
certain range and those that are signs requiring
confirmation.

A typical recovery response becomes gradually softer
over time and shows a reduction in discomfort.
On the other hand, if the firmness becomes stronger,
the skin surface looks uneven or bumpy,
or the reduced sensation continues for a long time,
it is difficult to view it as a simple course of
recovery.

In such cases, it is necessary to check how BioBond
is affecting the tissue,
and also examine its relationship with the suction
area.
When judging side effects, the most important factor
is not the symptom itself, but the direction of the
change.
Criteria for Deciding When to Visit the Clinic
Not every discomfort means you need to visit the
clinic right away.

Lumps or changes in sensation that appear within a
certain period after the procedure can often be
managed with observation.
However, if they persist without improvement over
time or are uncomfortable enough to interfere with
daily life, they need to be checked.
Especially if BioBond was applied after liposuction,
it is safer to professionally assess how the two
processes are affecting each other.

Waiting unconditionally is not the answer, nor is
being overly anxious.
The most important thing is to distinguish whether
the current condition is within the normal range of
recovery or whether additional measures are needed.
I hope this article helps you judge the changes that
appear after the procedure.
