Non-incisional hair transplant cost,
how does it differ depending on the
extraction method and number of grafts?

What is non-incisional hair transplant cost calculated based on?
Non-incisional hair transplant cost is not determined simply by
the number of hairs transplanted.

Non-incisional hair transplant cost
The basic unit is the number of follicular units.
Usually, it is expressed as 1,000 grafts or 2,000 grafts,
but in practice it is calculated by follicular units.
Some follicular units contain one hair,
and others contain two to three hairs.

Therefore, the key is not the simple number of hair strands,
but how many follicular units are transplanted.
The required number of grafts varies depending on the transplant area,
existing density, and the extent of hair loss.
It is not simply about planting as many as possible;
designing the placement so it blends with the existing hair is important.
Costs are generally set based on this number of follicular units.
Differences by extraction method
The non-incisional method is a way of extracting follicular units one by one
without making an incision in the scalp.

The degree of scalp damage varies depending on the diameter of the extraction tool,
skill, and speed.
The larger the punch diameter, the more visible the chance of scarring,
and if it is too small, there is a risk of follicular unit damage.

In this process, the level of precision in the extraction method
has a direct effect on the graft survival rate.
In addition, whether the procedure is mainly performed manually
or uses some automated equipment also creates differences in time and cost.
It is difficult to expect the same results simply because no incision is made.

Differences in method affect follicular unit damage rates
and recovery speed.
How many grafts are needed?
The question patients ask most often is,
"How many grafts are enough?"
Non-incisional hair transplant cost
This depends on the extent of hair loss and the existing density.
For example, the required number of grafts differs between
supplementing only the M-shaped hairline area and extending coverage to the crown.
Before/After
In general, to make the density look natural,
it is not just about calculating the area;
you also need to consider the spacing with the existing hair.
Putting in more follicular units does not automatically increase density.
Before/After
The appropriate amount should take scalp blood flow and graft survival rate into account.
If planned excessively, it can place a burden on the surrounding tissue.
Pain, recovery, and graft survival rate
The non-incisional method is performed under local anesthesia, and the pain is generally at a tolerable level.
Before/After
There may be a feeling of tightness and slight discomfort for a few days after the procedure,
but returning to daily life is relatively quick.
The graft survival rate varies depending on whether there was damage during extraction,
the storage environment, and the speed of transplantation.
Usually, hair begins to grow gradually after 3 to 6 months,
and the final density can be evaluated after about 1 year.
Before/After
When comparing costs, do not look only at the unit price;
check the extraction method, the surgeon's experience,
and the management system as well.
Non-incisional hair transplant cost is determined not by numbers,
but by the plan and the process.
Because hair cannot be undone once transplanted,
careful planning is necessary.
