Although it was a short-term front-teeth partial orthodontic treatment, because of the edge-to-edge bite, this was a case of partial orthodontic treatment for a canine tooth and front-teeth correction treated with Clippy-C instead of a simple appliance such as MTA or 2D.

The molar bite was not too bad, so we recommended short-term front-teeth partial orthodontic treatment.

Front-teeth partial orthodontic treatment uses small, simple MTA mini-tubes or lingual 2D orthodontic appliances, since it has no special function other than alignment.

However, this patient also had an edge-to-edge bite, where the front teeth bite was shallow in addition to the canine tooth, so after aligning the front teeth, we decided to use elastic bands to address the edge-to-edge bite to some extent as well.

Therefore, we attached Clippy-C, which has the function of hooking elastic bands, and began orthodontic treatment.

This is what it looked like 5 months after starting treatment.

Front-teeth partial orthodontic treatment attaches appliances only to the six front teeth.

The canine tooth was almost resolved, and by using elastic bands we aimed to prevent the front-teeth bite from becoming deeper.

A small amount of interproximal reduction was also done to align the severe canine tooth.

And one month later, in June 2024, the canine tooth partial orthodontic treatment and front-teeth correction short-term treatment were finally completed!

The alignment became neat, and the front-teeth bite became deeper than it was initially.
