A little while ago, I was recommended a really good sashimi restaurant
and went there.
I wanted to eat proper sashimi,
but I don’t like noisy places,
so I was looking for a quiet one.
I went to the Seocho branch of Joseon Sashimi House near Gangnam Station,
and I also saw that there’s another one between Gangnam Station and Yeoksam Station!
From other blog posts, it seems to be a franchise.

This was a place where you could enjoy seasonal sashimi in a Korean style.
From the interior to the basic side dishes,
everything was neat and clean,
which I think made it even better.
At this Gangnam Station restaurant, Joseon Sashimi House,
I ordered the Seasonal Sashimi Course among the special course menus.
Joseon Sashimi House Seasonal Sashimi Course
(Available for orders of 2 or more)
49,000 won per person

Because most of the menu items come out as a course,
the table was large and the plates were also very neat and nice.
There is also a lunch set, so if it were nearby,
I’d want to go try the lunch special.

I think I’d be very satisfied even with the sashimi rice bowl set or the Joseon Sashimi House lunch set.

I was eating while taking pictures,
so I couldn’t capture all of the side dishes.
It was great to be able to try many different things in small portions.
The food tasted clean and good too.

We were in the middle of talking,
and they explained what kind of sashimi it was, but I must have barely listened,
because I can’t remember..ㅠㅠ...
The slices were large and thick,
and I really liked the feeling of one piece filling my mouth
at the Gangnam Station Joseon Sashimi House!

There were several cuts of seasonal sashimi to taste and enjoy,
and they also gave us sushi rice
so we could make sushi ourselves.
On top of that, they served seafood like sea pineapple, abalone, and sea squirt!

More than the sashimi, the monkfish pork slices at the end
were really delicious.
I had only ever tried spicy braised monkfish before,
so this was my first time learning about it as a sliced pork-style dish.
The mild and clean taste was really nice.
And it went so well with vegetables like bean sprouts and chives,
it was very tasty.

The Gangnam Station restaurant Joseon Sashimi House
is definitely a place I’ll go back to someday
when I need to treat someone to a meal or on a special day!
