Garosu-gil Korean restaurant Sigol Bapsang!
Henry's restaurant from I Live Alone
/
There are times when you want home-style Korean food, not soup-based dishes.
Especially if you live alone, I think many people can really relate.
I visited Sigol Bapsang, a Garosu-gil restaurant, and a place famous as Henry's restaurant from I Live Alone.
It is also said to be a place already known around Garosu-gil as a delicious restaurant.
It was quite crowded even at lunchtime.
There were many office workers coming for lunch, but there were also quite a lot of foreigners at Garosu-gil Sigol Bapsang.
Sigol Bapsang address
34, Gangnam-daero 101-gil, Seocho-gu, Seoul
(Land-lot address: Jamwon-dong 8-9)

Sigol Bapsang, located at the far end of Garosu-gil, had an old-fashioned feel from the outside.
In particular, the signboard seemed to say, "This place is really old!!!!!!"

Like many places these days, there are a lot of restaurants in Garosu-gil that put the menu and prices outside.
Once you get used to that, it feels convenient and nice too!
At Garosu-gil lunch spot Sigol Bapsang, there is a menu for foreigners.

Sigol Bapsang is actually a place I had tried to visit once or twice but couldn't because of the wait.
When I went inside, most of the tables were occupied, and there were quite a lot of tables too.
More than anything, I liked that the tables were large!

After thinking about what to order, I ordered two Sigol Bapsang set meals and bulgogi.
Since the bulgogi menu does not include a bowl of rice,
adding rice is a must!
The Sigol Bapsang set meal came with the basic side dishes,
along with doenjang jjigae and kimchi jjigae.

It also seemed like the food came out pretty quickly at Garosu-gil Sigol Bapsang!
The bulgogi was served on a hot plate like that, so it stayed warm until the very end,
which was nice.
The stews that came with the Sigol Bapsang set meal were just right to go with rice.
The doenjang jjigae had a bit of a cheonggukjang-like taste mixed in,
and the kimchi jjigae was made with well-fermented kimchi, so it was tangy,
and I really enjoyed it!
And if there are three or more people, steamed egg is provided for free.

Other people in our group ordered soybean curd residue stew and braised cutlassfish at Garosu-gil Sigol Bapsang!

After visiting once, I went back for lunch two days later?
This time, I had braised cutlassfish!
The cutlassfish was plump and there was plenty to eat,
but the braised radish was really excellent.
You should definitely go to Garosu-gil Sigol Bapsang!!!!
