Apgujeong Station lunch menu: western-style pork cutlet at Brown Donkatsu!
/
I’m always looking for a hearty Korean meal or noodles,
so this time I went to Brown Donkatsu near Apgujeong Station.
The place I visited was Brown Donkatsu Gangnam Main Branch.
I personally prefer western-style pork cutlet,
where you dip it in the sauce, rather than Japanese-style pork cutlet.
Japanese-style is tasty too, but it tends to make the roof of my mouth rawㅠ.ㅠ

Brown Donkatsu near Apgujeong Station
has a lot of tables!!
There are quite a few tables, and the store itself wasn’t small.

When you order pork cutlet, you get a piece of morning bread.
And as is typical for a western-style diner, they also serve soup.
1 bread per person, 1 strawberry jam per person, 1 soup per person!!!!!!

It was bread that tasted good both with strawberry jam spread on it
and when dipped into the soup.
Because it came out warm,
the butter aroma was incredibly strongㅜ.ㅜ

After thinking about which pork cutlet to order, I chose
Brown Donkatsu’s combo pork cutlet.
At this Apgujeong Station lunch spot, the pork cutlet is
one slice of pork cutlet topped with half spicy sauce + half carbonara sauce.
I think it’s called combo pork cutlet because it has two kinds.
And Brown Donkatsu uniquely serves seasoned green onions.
I think they give it to help cut the greasiness,
but this was such a great side dish!

Brown Donkatsu’s carbonara sauce
was soft and had a flavor similar to soup.
It went so well with the spicy sauce.

The spicy sauce wasn’t extremely spicy, but mildly hot.
Maybe because I’m not very good with spicy food,
it got spicier the more I ate!!
The spicy sauce was the key move, because the carbonara pork cutlet
could start to feel heavy or greasy as you keep eating it,
but the spicy sauce really balances that out.
Highly recommended as an Apgujeong lunch menu :-)
