Kuchina Onesto, a great restaurant in Songridan-gil
Enjoying a steak!
From the end of the year to the beginning of the new year, I really have a lot of plans..! Haha
I had wanted to visit
Kuchina Onesto, a great restaurant in Songridan-gil, for a long time!
I had been curious to go here because I heard
it has a nice atmosphere and the steak is good,
so I finally got to visit.
Kuchina Onesto
21-24 Baekjegobun-ro 41-gil, Songpa-gu, Seoul
(Street address: Songpa-dong 12-5 Kuchina Onesto)
Kuchina Onesto business hours
Lunch: Every day from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Break time: From 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM
Dinner: From 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM

It was close to Seokchon Station and easy to find since it was on the main road.
A great restaurant in Songridan-gil!
The food was good, of course, but the atmosphere was also exactly my style.

Kuchina Onesto was bigger than I expected.
And since it really is that season, there were a lot of people too!
I heard it hasn’t been open for very long, so...
If it’s already become known as a popular restaurant in Songridan-gil, how are you supposed to get in...?
Also, I’m not sure if they do live music or something similar every Saturday night,
but there was a small signboard in front of the restaurant.
It said it runs from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM.
It seems like it would be nice to come by sometime later!

And since it’s an open kitchen, you could see it from outside.

The red lighting gave it a warm feeling,
and it seemed to make the atmosphere even better at
Kuchina Onesto in Songridan-gil.

First, the bread before the meal came out.
It seems like the appetizer bread is not always the same kind.
When I looked up Kuchina Onesto in Songridan-gil,
there was a different bread in other posts, lol.
Still, warm bread dipped in balsamic vinegar and olive oil
is always the best.

I ordered four dishes,
and this one is the seared scallops with ratatouille.
(13,000 won)
The scallops on top of the umami-packed ratatouille were such a perfect match!!!!
This was a great appetizer to whet the appetite.

This is the truffle pasta (18,000 won)
I knew there were many kinds of pasta noodles,
but this was my first time trying such wide noodles!!!!!!
It was a pasta where you could really smell the truffle,
and the cream sauce was rich too.
It suited my taste well,
but I think it could be a love-it-or-hate-it flavor.

Chanterelle pasta
Tomato pasta with chanterelle mushrooms
(17,000 won)
For this one, you can choose between cream or tomato!
Since I ordered the truffle pasta,
I chose tomato for one of the pasta dishes.
I wondered what chanterelle mushrooms were,
and they are an ingredient not often used for food in Korea,
but in France they are used as a premium edible mushroom,
and they are also used in pasta dishes!

The last dish to come out was the Kuchina Onesto steak!
It’s a steak served with Australian tenderloin
and red wine and balsamic sauce.
(30,000 won)
From pasta to steak, the prices were reasonable,
and I ended up eating something even better than I expected.
The steak was cooked just right, and there wasn’t much of a meat smell either!
Having steak made it feel even more like a party, for sure,, haha,
I ate well at this great restaurant in Songridan-gil!
