Pocheon Idong Galbi Restaurant Myeongjiwon Is Delicious!

I took a day trip to Pocheon, which isn’t far from Seoul.

Pocheon = Idong galbi, right?.?

After watching the Idong galbi episode on Delicious Guys a while ago, I really wanted to try it at least once, but I heard the place featured on the show has a very long wait.

Among a few places I looked into, I visited Myeongjiwon, a well-known Idong galbi restaurant.

Myeongjiwon Idong Galbi caught my eye even from the outside. It’s in a hanok-style building, and the parking lot is huge. And it’s also a model restaurant!!!!

Since the restaurant itself is large, the food comes out quickly too. They brought out the side dishes first and lit the grill for us. There were lots of side dishes, and they were abundant beyond measure!

We ordered Idong galbi, and the amount was really generous.

(1 serving / 400 g / U.S. beef / 7,000 won per 100 g)

I remember it coming out to about 5 beef ribs per serving.

Since marinated meat can burn if left on the grill for too long, you know you should move it to the outer edge once it’s cooked enough, right?

There were four of us eating, and we ordered three Idong galbi portions.

We ordered three portions so we could get more if it wasn’t enough, but we honestly left absolutely stuffed!!!! The portions were really generous at this Pocheon Idong galbi restaurant

The glossy beef ribs are worth trying at least once if you come to Pocheon. When you go to a tourist spot or a famous restaurant, there are often many places that don’t live up to expectations. It wasn’t something with a new or especially unique flavor, but Myeongjiwon Idong galbi in Pocheon stayed true to the basics.

If you’re traveling in Pocheon, I definitely recommend stopping by at least once! We ate well :-D
