Sharosugil Restaurant Cordon Italian Western-Style
Pasta & Steak
Sharosugil is still hot and crowded with people.
Compared to when I came here before, it feels like
the number of restaurants and cafés keeps increasing.
I visited Cordon, a Sharosugil restaurant with a nice atmosphere,
where the pasta and steak were delicious.

Sharosugil Cordon is a small, cozy Italian Western-style restaurant.
I was a little worried there might be a wait,
but since I went after lunchtime, fortunately there was an empty seat.
I wondered what “Cordon” meant, and there was an explanation on the menu.
Cordon ; Cordon
- Cordon bleu refers to a dish in which thinly sliced meat is wrapped with ham and cheese,
coated with breadcrumbs, and deep-fried in oil.
-
Cordon bleu refers to the blue cord that chefs use when rolling thinly sliced meat into a round shape.
-
Cordon bleu refers to an exceptionally outstanding chef,
and also to the recipes created by that chef.

The inside of Cordon, a Sharosugil pasta restaurant!
There are about four tables,
and the atmosphere is so cozy and nice.
I thought it would be great to come even when it’s dim outside.
I had heard the pasta and steak were delicious,
and the menu was quite simple.
Since the place is small, even with just one person cooking
and two people serving,
the restaurant feels full!

There was also an event going on at Sharosugil Cordon.
If you post it on SNS with a hashtag,
they give you a discount on the steak price.

Although Christmas had passed, there was still a couple set.
I ordered three items:
mushroom cream pasta,
flat iron steak, and lemon ade.

Maybe because there was only one chef preparing the food,
the dishes took a bit of time to come out at Sharosugil Cordon!
While we were chatting a lot and eating the bread before the meal,
the mushroom cream pasta came out first.
I ordered the cream pasta because many people seemed to enjoy it at Cordon,
and as expected, there was a reason why so many people choose it.
The rich cream sauce went so well with the thick pappardelle noodles.
It seemed like they added plenty of pepper so it wouldn’t feel too heavy.

(What is pappardelle? A wide, flat ribbon pasta about 5/8 to 1 inch wide)

Next came the flat iron steak, a Sharosugil restaurant favorite!
I ordered the steak medium rare,
and when I saw it, it looked a bit dry,
but when I ate it, it was really tender and moist!
I also thought it might feel heavy or become boring without sauce,
but it was really delicious even without any sauce.
The grilled tomato, broccoli, and baby potatoes were also a nice extra treat.

I was very satisfied with both the pasta and the steak,
and the service in such a nice atmosphere was also very good,
so I wanted to go again next time.
