It used to be famous as an I Live Alone Lee Young-ja favorite restaurant,
but recently I heard it’s also known as a Fun-Staurant Lee Young-ja favorite spot.
It had been a while since I visited Garosu-gil Hongmi Dakbal, and it was still crowded,
very lively and busy!
I thought there might not be many people because of recent issues,
but it seems everyone who wanted to come still came lol

Garosu-gil hot spot Hongmi Dakbal menu
I first ordered whole chicken feet, odol-byeol, rice balls, and steamed eggs.
Odol-byeol, rice balls

Sometimes you suddenly crave really spicy food.
When that happens, the foods that come to mind are things like chicken feet or odol-byeol.
Since it’s already a famous restaurant, the tables filled up quickly
around dinner time.
As soon as we sat down, they brought soup first,
and since it was a little chilly, the warm soup was so nice.

At Hongmi Dakbal in Garosu-gil, one thing you can’t miss is
steamed eggs.
When I first saw the price of the steamed eggs, I thought they weren’t
that cheap for steamed eggs,
but I was surprised after seeing the portion and tasting them.
They were so soft and delicious that I kept eating...!
It was a taste that made the 7,000 won feel worth it!

They also give you seaweed to eat with the odol-byeol.

Rice balls seem to be exactly the combo of seaweed + rice + sesame oil,
and they’re perfect to eat with odol-byeol and chicken feet!

Both the odol-byeol and chicken feet come in two options: mild and spicy,
and I ordered both in mild.
Since Hongmi Dakbal is such a popular place,
the food we ordered came out really quickly.

Boneless chicken feet are nice too, but I like eating whole chicken feet the best.
There’s something enjoyable about removing the bones as you eat, right?

We shared the rice balls with the odol-byeol and chicken feet,
but for me the chicken feet felt especially spicy.
Still, it was a delicious kind of spiciness, so I kept eating.
While eating Hongmi Dakbal in Garosu-gil,
I kept wondering just how spicy the spicy version must be,,!

It had been such a long time since I last had Hongmi Dakbal,
so I went there with high expectations,
and as expected,,,!
A lot of people do order the soup-style chicken feet,
but I personally prefer chicken feet without soup.
Soup-style chicken feet are something I only eat once in a while.

Sometimes when you eat spicy chicken feet, they can be so spicy that they taste bitter and even hurt your mouth,
but Hongmi Dakbal feels truly addictive.
It’s spicy, but you keep reaching for more, and it’s so good.
When it feels really, really spicy~~~~, I calm it down with steamed eggs,
or eat odol-byeol and rice balls.

I hadn’t planned on getting the banquet noodles,
but in a blog I saw while searching for Hongmi Dakbal,
people said the banquet noodles here were also really good, so even though I was full,
I forced myself to try them lol
You know it’s really good if you think it’s tasty even when you’re already full,,?
