Yongsan restaurant Sonmun Galmaegisal Main Branch is really delicious!

I stumbled upon Sonmun Galmaegisal while searching for good restaurants!

I think I ate at Sonmun back when galmaegisal was very popular,

but this was my first time visiting the main branch. I went to the

Sonmun Galmaegisal main branch, which is famous as a Yongsan restaurant.

Closed on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month

Sonmun Galmaegisal is said to be a well-known long-established restaurant in Yongsan.

I visited on the weekend, and I heard there is always a wait here,

so I was worried we might have to wait a long time. But thankfully,

we were able to go in right away without waiting.

As soon as it was around dinner time, people started coming in.

The Sonmun main branch in Yongsan had a lot of tables.

There was also a place right in front that looked like the second branch.

Since we came to eat galmaegisal, we ordered it without hesitation.

When I had it somewhere else before, I think they grilled it at the table,

but at the Sonmun main branch, they grilled it on another table first

and then brought it over!!!!!

The fully cooked galmaegisal was placed on the outer edge of the grill,

and we just ate it warm.

I really liked that the meat came already grilled.

It didn’t leave much meat smell on our clothes,

and there was no situation where one person was grilling while another

was only eating, so it was very comfortable.

At this Yongsan restaurant, Sonmun Galmaegisal, the meat was seasoned.

It was similar to pork ribs seasoning, and they grilled it well so it wouldn’t burn,

so I enjoyed it very much. And at Sonmun, along with the galmaegisal,

a tray noodle dish is served as a standard side dish at each table!

If you eat it with the nicely grilled galmaegisal,

you can enjoy it even more!

Also, if they notice from the table that the meat looks like it might burn,

they take care of it on their own.

In every way, I was very satisfied with the meal,

and I’m 500% willing to revisit Sonmun in Yongsan!
