One of the places that always comes up on the list when I ask for Garosu-gil restaurant recommendations these days was Hyeonghun Ramen in Garosu-gil!

This place is run by CNP, and it’s the company behind Aour Bakery right in front of it, as well as Double Trouble in Gangnam Station, Laundry Pizza, and Horangi Sikdang...ㅠㅠ

Before going to Hyeonghun Ramen in Garosu-gil, I looked through several blog posts, and they said there was a wait..! Since I was going around dinnertime, I was a little worried, but maybe because of the COVID situation, there were hardly any people.

I was planning to go somewhere else if it seemed too crowded, but luckily (?) we were able to sit with some distance from the other tables, which was nice.

I actually thought the inside would be pretty spacious, but Hyeonghun Ramen in Garosu-gil wasn’t that large. There are 4-seat tables, single seats, and 2-seat tables, but if it had been crowded, I think it would have felt really cramped.

You place your order right away through the kiosk.

I ordered one abura soba and one hormone rice bowl!

There was barley tea on each table, but maybe because of the situation these days, I didn’t really feel like drinking it.

And each table also had seasonings that you could enjoy with the food.

Even while I was waiting for the food, more and more people kept coming in, and the tables filled up quickly. Also, there were really a lot of people coming to Hyeonghun Ramen in Garosu-gil to eat alone...! People who dine alone are amazing..ㅠㅠ..

I heard that Hyeonghun Ramen is also famous for its hormone rice bowl (horumon-don). So I picked these two menu items without hesitation, and both were so, so delicious!!!!!!!

The abura soba feels like mixed ramen, and the soft-boiled egg yolk coats the noodles, making them even richer and tastier..! The hormone rice bowl was also simmered in a sweet sauce, so it was perfect with the rice. It also came topped with fried green onion strips, and the onion aroma was full and pleasantly sweet, which made it such a special treat!!!!!!

I can see why Hyeonghun Ramen is famous even in Garosu-gil..!! Once COVID settles down, I’ll definitely!!!! come back again!
