Gangnam Yeoksam restaurant Shin Donggung Gamjatang
Bone Charcoal Grill Yeoksam Main Branch
/
Shin Donggung Gamjatang is located between Gangnam Station and Yeoksam Station!
It’s such a well-known restaurant that a lot of people already seemed to know about it.
The last time I came, I was able to go in without waiting,
but when I visited this time, there was a wait, so I had to wait about 20 minutes
before I could get in...ㅠㅠ

Shin Donggung Gamjatang is a famous spot for its bone charcoal grill.
I think I had heard the gamjatang was good too,
and while there were some people eating gamjatang,
there were far more people eating the bone charcoal grill.
There is plenty of parking space, and there are quite a lot of tables,
so if there’s no wait, you can get in quickly.
But since people are having bone dishes or gamjatang with alcohol,
the turnover rate doesn’t seem especially fast.

The basic side dishes are just kkakdugi, white kimchi,
onion, garlic stems, chili peppers, and ssamjang — that’s it.
And the gamjatang broth is served too,
with lots and lots of dried radish greens, and the broth is so rich
that you could easily finish a bowl of rice with itㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

I was so hungry that I devoured it as soon as the food came out.
It had been so long since I last came here that I didn’t really remember the taste,
but the moment I took a bite, I was like, Ah!!!!!!!! So that’s the taste!!!!!!!!!!
Because there’s a generous amount of sweet and spicy sauce,
I think that made it even better. A flavor that can’t possibly be bad!
I asked for plastic gloves and started tearing into it properly,
and there’s really a lot of meat attached to the bones...!!!!!!!!

After eating one bone at a time, I ordered fried rice right away and ate it together.
Shin Donggung Gamjatang fried rice is exactly the kind you eat
after having gamjatang. It’s savory, and you just keep reaching for it,,
After picking the meat off the bone charcoal grill and mixing it into the fried rice,
it tasted even better..^^...as expected...ㅎ...
I enjoyed it :D
