😯 Uneven sleepy eyes,
Sinsa Station eyelid correction review
Hello, this is Ruho Plastic Surgery.
When we conduct eyelid correction consultations,
there are some comments we hear often.
✔️ Even after getting plenty of sleep, my eyes still look sleepy.
✔️ In photos, my eyes look blurred.
✔️ I often get asked if I’m feeling unwell.
This is because the eye shape and skin structure
make the eyes look sleepy.
If the left and right eyes appear different in size at first glance,
pseudoptosis may be involved,
so the cause needed to be checked accurately.
Today, through actual patient cases,
we’ll take a detailed look at how much the before-and-after results of eyelid correction changed,
and how the procedure is carried out.

This photo was taken and posted with the patient’s consent,
and surgical results and recovery processes may vary by individual.
Two reasons eyes can look sleepy
If you often hear that your eyes always look tired,
even when you just look at the eyes,
there may be another underlying cause.
However, not all sleepy-looking eyes are pseudoptosis.
Let’s take a look at what factors may be involved.
First, muscle-related issue (pseudoptosis) - The muscle that opens the eyes is weak, making the eyes look half closed - The upper part of the black pupil is not clearly visible from the front - Congenitally weak muscles or reduced elasticity due to aging
---
Second, eye skin & structural issue - The muscles are normal, but the eye shape itself looks sleepy - Thick eyelids and a lot of fat around the eyelids make them look heavy - No double eyelid or an inner double eyelid structure: less of the pupil is exposed, so the eyes look smaller - Epicanthal folds: the inner corners of the eyes are covered, creating a blurred feeling
Sleepy-looking eyes are often caused not by one single reason,
but by a combination of factors.
If you look at the before photo above,
the eye shape itself appears sleepy,
which is why the patient visited our clinic to address it.
To improve the sleepy impression caused by the eyes
and the asymmetrical position of the left and right eyes,
eyelid correction was performed.

How eyelid correction is done at Ruho Plastic Surgery near Sinsa Station
Our eyelid correction methods
are divided into natural adhesion, partial incision, and full incision.
For this patient, the pseudoptosis was not severe
and there was little skin sagging, so the partial incision method was possible.
✔️ What is partial-incision eyelid correction?
It is a surgical method that reduces the incision area
and does not remove skin, allowing for faster recovery.
Looking at the changed appearance before and after surgery,
the positions of both eyes became even, the pupils became visible,
and the eyes looked larger, making the overall impression clearer.
The key to improving these sleepy eyes
was to balance both eyes and create a sharper impression.
You can see that the uneven eyes and sleepy eye shape
a were improved at the same time.

Self-check for eyelid correction
- People who are told they look sleepy or dazed
- People whose forehead wrinkles appear when opening their eyes
- People with indistinct double eyelids
- People with double eyelids that look loose
- People whose upper eyelid covers more than one-third of the eyeball

we recommend getting a consultation at our clinic.
With years of know-how from a board-certified plastic surgeon,

Closing thoughts
Eye asymmetry and sleepy-looking eyes
are not just cosmetic concerns;
they have a significant impact on your overall impression.
In particular, even a small 1 mm difference in double eyelids can greatly affect one’s appearance,
so eyelid correction should be performed by a medical team with extensive surgical experience
if you want satisfactory results.
At our clinic, we do not only consider the external appearance;
we carefully evaluate the overall image and the proportions of the facial features
when designing the procedure,
so we hope you can experience the beginning of change here.
