I’ll explain upper eyelid fat grafting in detail, including the progress and retouch. Upper eyelid fat grafting is a procedure that adds vitality and volume to sunken eye hollows. Is a second graft absolutely necessary? It depends on how well the eyelid is filled and the graft survival rate. A second graft is not mandatory; it is a choice based on the progress. Usually, after checking the graft survival rate 3 to 4 months after the procedure,

if the volume is insufficient, a small additional amount of fat can be injected.

Depending on graft survival and satisfaction with the volume after the first procedure, some people want a second graft (retouch) within 3 to 4 months. When doing a second graft at Grace Plastic Surgery, there are two important points: the fat must be freshly harvested again, and retouch pricing of 400,000 KRW applies only within 3 months from the procedure date. After that, the same process/cost as a standard procedure applies, so we recommend deciding within the available period if possible.

What are the anesthesia and fat harvesting sites?

Anesthesia is performed with sleep anesthesia for fat harvesting and local anesthesia for fat injection. (There is almost no burden from pain during the procedure.)

The fat harvesting site is the abdomen. The area around the navel is usually chosen because scars are hardly noticeable, and the thighs may leave pigmentation; however, only tiny marks about the size of the harvesting needle remain.
