Today, let’s take some time to talk about the duration of a forehead lift.
As the age group that prefers forehead lifts gradually gets younger, there is something that many patients in their 20s and 30s are curious about.
“How long does a forehead lift actually last?” and “Can I have it done again later?”

First, forehead lift surgery can be repeated.
For example, many patients come to our clinic for revision surgery after having a forehead lift at another hospital 1 to 2 years earlier because they want to change the shape or feel that it has dropped again.
In such cases, there is a high likelihood that the dissection was somewhat insufficient.
During revision surgery, we check whether the dissection was insufficient and proceed with the operation.

Next, how long a forehead lift lasts.
Because it is somewhat difficult to say an exact number of years for this question,
our clinic shows various cases during forehead lift consultations.
As one example, if you look at a patient in their early 20s who had a forehead lift in 2015,
before surgery, the eyelids were thick, and the distance between the eyes and eyebrows was short, but
after the forehead lift, the distance between the eyes and eyebrows became wider, and although no double-eyelid surgery was performed,
the double eyelids became more visible, resulting in an ideal eye appearance.
By comparing the appearance about 3 weeks after surgery and the follow-up result 6 and a half years later (in 2021),
you can roughly estimate how long the forehead lift lasts.
In order for a forehead lift to last a long time like this, the dissection must be done thoroughly well,
and fixation must be done properly.
During consultations at our clinic, not only before-and-after photos but also before-and-after videos can be reviewed for a more detailed consultation.
There is no fixed duration for how long a forehead lift lasts.
But what I can say now is that during forehead lift surgery, “how well the dissection is done is very important.”
For the forehead lift to last longer, the dissection must be performed well during surgery.
