Conversely, if the lower jaw is the 기준, surgery can be performed to push the upper jaw inward. If the lower jaw is moved as well, this becomes what is commonly referred to as double jaw surgery.

In this way, since there are various types of jaw surgery, when talking about a receding chin, it is important to check whether the upper jaw is well developed or whether the lower jaw is small.

What procedure can help improve a lower jaw that has not developed well? It is a jawbone advancement procedure, in which the lower jawbone is cut and moved forward. However, when looking at most people who are concerned about a receding chin, the lower jawbone is often small. Because a small piece of bone is cut and moved forward rather than advancing a normal jaw, satisfaction may be lower.
