Questions After Eyebrow Lift Surgery

Eyebrow lift surgery is recommended for people who are worried about double eyelid surgery or who do not want to alter the double eyelid line for various reasons, and for those whose eyebrows and eyes are close together. It has a fast recovery and very effective results.

Because there is an immediate effect after surgery, patient satisfaction is high. However, the part patients are most curious about is the scar and recovery period after surgery.

As with all surgeries, scars will naturally remain after an incision is made. An incision scar will remain anywhere, not just on the eyebrows.

Of course, as a plastic surgery specialist, we will do our best to minimize scarring by considering the skin tension and texture based on experience, and to hide the incision as much as possible within the eyebrow so that it does not show.

An incision scar does not disappear completely; it gradually fades and becomes naturally lighter over time, like the horizontal texture of the skin.

Typically, eyebrow lift surgery requires making an incision either above or below the eyebrow, with efforts to hide the scar within the eyebrow as much as possible.

It is similar to not paying much attention to a wound that formed on the head.

However, if you have sparse eyebrows, the scar may be noticeable, and you may later need makeup or eyebrow tattooing.

For up to 3 months, the incision line may look somewhat unnatural, and after about 6 months to a year, it becomes natural enough that it no longer looks like surgery was performed.

Recovery differs depending on the patient's skin texture, and in some cases, there are people with no visible scar traces even after 1 month.

In general, eyebrow lift surgery tends to involve little to no swelling or bruising after surgery. If you take good care of yourself, recovery is fast enough that it does not interfere with daily life at all.

Eyebrow tattooing or makeup may be needed. After going through several stages of recovery, around 3 months later, as the redness fades, eyebrow tattooing becomes possible. Scar laser treatment during the recovery period helps with healing.

Based on experience, after about 6 months to a year, concerns about the scar largely disappear.

Alcohol, smoking, spicy foods that cause swelling, and strenuous exercise interfere with recovery, so it is best to avoid them.
