1. Implants are even more difficult to remove once they have been placed

Every year, quite a few people visit the treatment room to have an implant removed and replaced.

• had the original implant placed in the wrong location, or

• had an implant that did not adequately integrate with the jawbone.

However, what is more difficult than removing it is creating a new site in the same location.

If you pull a wrongly driven nail out of a wall and try to drive another nail into the same spot,

there is already a larger hole than before, so the new nail will not be secured properly.

Once placement has failed, the amount and shape of the jawbone have changed,
