Samseong Station gum contouring,
If you’re still hesitating even after looking at before-and-after photos,
read this before you decide.
Hello.
I’m Kim Moo-jin, director of D-Day Dental Clinic,
where we provide treatment with the goal of minimizing pain.

“Wouldn’t it be enough to go
to the place with the best before-and-after photos?”
That is something I hear very often
from people researching gum contouring.
But doesn’t something seem strange?
Even after scrolling through dozens of photos,
your hand stops when you reach the appointment button.
And a few days later, you find yourself
looking at the same photos again.

I believe that hesitation
is actually a fairly accurate instinct.
Before-and-after photos only show
the “successful result immediately afterward.”
How painful the procedure was and whether
the gum line is still maintained several months later
cannot be seen anywhere in the photos.
Since those two points have not been confirmed,
it is natural that you cannot make a decision.

If you focus for just five minutes,
you will be able to find answers about the two things
that photos do not show:
recurrence and pain.

- What before-and-after photos do not show
The neat gum lines shown in before-and-after photos
are usually photographed immediately after the procedure
or within a few weeks.
However, with gum contouring,
the most difficult issue
is not pain or bleeding, but recurrence.

As time passes, the gums may grow back up
and cover the teeth again.
Therefore, there is no way to know from the photos alone
whether the gum line shown will remain the same
six months later.
Seeing a hundred successful results
does not necessarily mean you can expect the same result for yourself.
Then what makes some gum contouring results last,
while others return to their previous state?
You need to understand that difference first
before you can look at photos with a different perspective.
- Why gums can grow back
if only the gums are trimmed
No matter how closely you cut grass,
it grows back to its original height after a few days.
That is because the roots and soil remain unchanged.
Gums have a similar characteristic.
The gums tend to maintain a certain height
based on the bone beneath them.

So if the bone position is left unchanged
and only the outer gum tissue is cut away,
there are cases where the gums gradually return
toward their original position over time.
That is why I do not look only at the gum line.
I first examine the relationship between the positions
of the teeth and the bone.
If necessary, the bone line beneath the gums
also needs to be shaped so that the newly created line lasts longer.
If you have read this far,
you may already feel afraid
at the word “bone.”
Let me continue by addressing that concern.
- Samseong Station gum contouring:
Why anesthesia is handled differently from the start
It is natural to feel afraid.
That is why I put effort into the anesthesia
before the procedure itself.
When the anesthetic is injected very slowly,
the gums gradually adjust,
so many patients barely feel
the anesthesia being administered at all.

Another principle I follow is to complete, whenever possible,
all procedures likely to cause pain on the first day
before you go home.
The aim is for you to return comfortably
from your next visit onward, without pain.
If there is any part of the process
that is expected to cause significant pain,
I always explain it in advance.
“A dental clinic where you leave without pain.”
That is the goal I hold on to
as I run D-Day Dental Clinic.

Samseong Station gum contouring
The more frightening a procedure may seem,
such as gum contouring,
the more firmly I believe this goal
must be upheld before the result itself.
Before-and-after photos are only reference material.
The basis for your decision should not be photos,
but an explanation of why your gums look the way they do
and what method is needed to maintain the result.
The hand that stopped in front of dozens of photos
was probably really asking,
“What would my case be like?”
What can answer that question
is not the next photo,
but a diagnosis of your gums.
If you have been hesitating for a long time,
rather than scrolling through one more photo,
it will be much faster
to have your condition examined directly.
Treatment that is comfortable and makes sense to you.
I will help you based on those standards.
If you have any questions,
please feel free to contact us at any time. ^^
Sincerely,
Kim Moo-jin, Director of D-Day Dental Clinic
