Do you really need to wear a blood drain bag (blood pouch)?

Many people feel uneasy about wearing a blood drain bag, that is, a “blood pouch,” after a facelift.

yes, you absolutely should wear it!

A blood drain bag does not simply serve to drain blood.

It uses gentle negative pressure to effectively suction out saline solution and bodily fluids that have collected around the surgical area.

Why is it so important to remove these fluids properly?

After surgery, the tissues need to adhere well without leaving any empty space for recovery to be quick and the results to be good.

However, it is difficult to perfectly compress all of these spaces with a face band alone.

When the blood drain bag is used, the tissues adhere more quickly, and recovery is faster without blood pooling, which leads to better results.

So after a facelift, wearing the blood drain bag is essential.
