It is that Director Jo Jeong-mok of Eton Plastic Surgery

has earned a Doctor of Medicine degree

as a plastic surgery specialist.

This is Eton’s first Doctor of Medicine degree!

A Doctor of Medicine degree

is not directly linked to surgical skill,

but we were curious why he went through such a difficult process

to earn the degree, so we asked.

I like surgery, but

I also like approaching medicine scientifically

and conducting research,

so I decided to pursue a doctoral program.

I wanted to explore medical knowledge more deeply.

Beyond simply being good at surgery,

he has a deep passion for medicine itself.

Surgical skill is built over a long period of time,

so experience and know-how are far more important.

is an indicator of research capability.
