made between the hairs so that the scar

is not noticeable.

Using the endoscope, the tissue attached to the eyebrows

is released and then moved upward and secured.

After surgery, the secured area stabilizes

after about one month,

and after about three months,

it becomes fully attached,

allowing a natural-looking eyebrow line.

There are several methods

for securing the eyebrows during surgery.

These include the bone-tunneling method,

which involves drilling holes in the bone

or using screws,

as well as using Endotine,

a dissolvable plastic fixation device.

I mainly use Endotine

because it creates a 'planar vector'

that pulls across a surface.

Unlike a 'linear vector,' which pulls along a line,

a planar pull tends to lift the central part

of the eyebrows along with it.

As a result, for Korean patients,

it can create a more relaxed and pleasant appearance.

When the eyebrows are pulled upward,

the skin beneath them is lifted as well,

reducing the degree of drooping

and potentially making a double-eyelid crease

that had become smaller appear larger again.

In the past, endoscopic brow lift surgery

was mainly used to improve drooping eyes

in older patients.

Recently, however, more younger people

have been undergoing this surgery

to improve their appearance.

The reason is the

'Lid-Brow Distance.'

This refers to the space

between the eyelashes and the eyebrows.

Research has found that a person's appearance

can look different depending on the size of this space

when looking straight ahead with the eyes fully open.

For Koreans,

when the distance from the eyelashes to the eyebrows

is approximately 15 mm or more,

the appearance tends to look more relaxed.

As this distance becomes narrower,

However, in healthy people,

it rarely becomes a major problem.
