Can improper exfoliation even lead to dermatitis?

A 57-year-old homemaker whose skin condition came out slightly higher than her age.
The homemaker's skin showed a lot of pigmentation, wrinkles had formed, and moisture was lacking, leaving her skin dry.
When skin is dry, dead skin cells can build up and the skin can look dull.
To remove dead skin cells, do you keep rubbing while bathing?
Because this breaks down the skin's protective barrier, exfoliation is a no-no!

The skin needs to recover in order to form the stratum corneum.
As the stratum corneum is formed, the skin becomes rough.

If you keep scrubbing that stratum corneum away, it continuously irritates the skin, causing blood vessels to expand and making the skin sensitive.
Because this stratum corneum also provides moisture, blocks skin irritation, and protects the skin,
you need to maintain this layer.
Use of exfoliating products should be minimized as much as possible; excessive use can trigger inflammation.
When moisture levels drop, dead skin cells also start to flake off.
If the amount of collagen in the skin's dermis also decreases, the surface becomes dry and firmness is lost underneath, making aging feel even more severe.

In severe cases, wrinkles can become deeper and more pronounced, and loss of elasticity can cause the skin to sag.
