Hello. This is #ImIsikThemeDermatology, sharing healthy skin theory.
The relatively short (?) monsoon season has passed, and the hot summer has arrived.
Many people showed interest in the video we introduced last time, featuring Director Im Isik and actor #JungBoSeok on SBS Good Morning, so today we’ve prepared Part 2.
The second question about myths and facts regarding ultraviolet rays! Is fairer skin more vulnerable to UV rays?

Actor Jung Bo-seok answered that fairer skin would be more vulnerable to UV rays-
Is that true? Is fairer skin really more vulnerable to UV rays?

The correct answer is “O.”
The reason is that the number and density of melanin cells in the human body are mostly consistent.
In the case of white skin, the melanin-producing function is reduced, so it is inevitably more vulnerable to UV rays.
(Melanin is one of the pigments commonly found in nature, and it is a cell that blocks ultraviolet rays and has antioxidant effects.)

In the case of white people, there are especially many skin cancer patients caused by UV rays.
And for patients with vitiligo as well, there are problems with pigment cells,
so if you have white patches appearing on different parts of the skin, you may be even more vulnerable to UV rays.

Not only for fair skin, but in weather like this,
#To protect your skin from #UV rays, #sunscreen #UVprotection is absolutely essential, so don’t forget!
