Hello, this is Imiseok Theme Dermatology Clinic.
Winter, when the temperature difference between indoors and outdoors is severe,
is the season when rosacea and melasma appear especially noticeable. For this reason,
some people dislike winter, but
in fact, winter is a good season for skin laser treatments. Sweat and secretions are
relatively less than in summer,
and there is less ultraviolet exposure, making post-treatment care easier.
Many people worry about rosacea and
melasma, so we would like to introduce
what kinds of laser treatments are
available to help treat them cleanly.
Rosacea Laser

Vbeam Perfecta: An excellent laser for rosacea that did not respond well to conventional vascular lasers; effective for treating blood vessel dilation,
aiding acne marks and improving red skin
ICON Green: A high-power laser that targets lesions at different depths,
safely protecting the skin surface while inducing regeneration deep within,
and can treat both vascular and pigmented lesions
Excel V: A laser procedure that can treat various and complex skin concerns,
such as melasma, redness, and elasticity, all at once
Melasma Laser

IntraCel Laser: A laser that improves skin tone by inserting micro-needles into the dermal layer of the skin,
then using high-pressure radiofrequency to form collagen and elastin without damaging the epidermis
Lumenis Pico4: A laser that uses pico and nano simultaneously to deliver the strongest energy,
cleanly removing pigment without damaging normal skin
Optimo 2.94: A laser with a high absorption rate for water that minimizes pain and skin damage compared to CO2,
and improves overall skin concerns such as pores, skin tone, and wrinkles in a gentle way
How to care after laser treatment

-
Avoid UV exposure with sunscreen, a hat, etc.
-
Use skin moisturizing creams or ampoules generously
-
Do not rub excessively when washing your face or applying makeup after the procedure
-
Avoid saunas and jjimjilbangs
-
Drink enough water
-
Follow the treatment schedule well for continuous treatment effects
After laser procedures in winter, it is good to avoid direct UV exposure with sunscreen or a hat, and to use moisturizers generously that help strengthen the skin barrier and form a protective layer. After the procedure, when washing your face or applying makeup, it is good to avoid rubbing the skin too much so that scabs do not come off, and to reduce irritation to the skin. It is also better to stay away from environments that may overly irritate the skin, such as saunas and jjimjilbangs.
It is good to drink enough water so that the skin is well hydrated from within. Some lasers are completed in just one session, but depending on the skin condition, multiple treatments at 2- to 3-week intervals may be needed to see results, so it is good to follow the treatment schedule set by the medical staff and continue treatment consistently.
