Provider: Lim Eiseok Theme Dermatology Clinic

Hello. This is Lim Eiseok Theme Dermatology.
Even skin that was once smooth and free of marks
gradually becomes darkly pigmented over time,
leading to concerns about age spots, as well as
seborrheic keratosis and syringomas that rise up
in bumpy textures.
These conditions occur due to sun exposure and aging,
and are representative conditions that make the face
look older.
As warts and syringomas are epidermal disorders that occur when a virus enters through cracks and fissures, they interfere with clear skin, so treatment should be carried out according to the cause of the condition.
Age spots, known as an age-related skin condition,
can also appear in younger people who are frequently
to outdoor activities and often exposed to ultraviolet rays.
Brown or dark brown age spots can be treated with lasers used for pigment lesions.
Now that clear skin without blemishes is one of the
conditions for a youthful appearance, Lim Eiseok Theme Dermatology will explain the laser-based treatment and prevention methods for age spots,
and introduce youthful-looking treatment methods that
turn back time.
What are age spots?

Age spots that appear on the face and various parts
of the body where sebaceous glands are developed
are pigmented benign tumors. They start out small
early on and gradually become darker and larger.
Although they are known as a representative skin
condition of aging, they are more likely to occur
after long-term exposure to ultraviolet rays, so they
are common among middle-aged and older adults who enjoy outdoor activities.
What are syringomas and milia?

Syringoma: A benign tumor that develops when there is an abnormality in the sweat gland duct. It appears in various areas such as the eyes, cheeks, and body, and is larger in form than milia.
Milia: Small white or yellow spherical keratin cysts about the size of millet grains that develop in the epidermis, mostly around the eyes.
Youthful skin treatment methods

Age spots
Lumenis Pico4: A pigment laser that removes only the pigment cleanly without damaging normal skin, improving age spots as well as Ota spots, Ota nevus, and Mongolian spots.
Syringomas, milia
Agnes: A laser that coagulates and destroys sebaceous glands using micro-insulated needles and radiofrequency energy. The micro-insulated needles penetrate deep into the sebaceous glands, resolving the underlying sebaceous gland problem and improving syringomas and milia.
For age spots, laser treatment is adjusted in detail according to the patient's condition.
In the case of syringomas and milia, patients can return to makeup and daily life 1 to 2 days after the laser procedure, and since there is almost no risk of scarring, satisfying results can be achieved after laser treatment.
For about a month after laser treatment, continued care with whitening ointments or regenerative creams is needed to expect good results. In particular, it is best to apply sunscreen carefully to block ultraviolet rays and to be careful not to expose the skin to ultraviolet rays for long periods.
