Hello.
We are Etoile Seoul Dental Clinic,

for a healthy smile.
Are you struggling with the inconvenience of dentures after losing your teeth?
Or do you want functions like natural teeth, but full-mouth implants feel like too much of a burden? If you are facing these concerns, you may find new hope as a candidate for full-arch implants. Full-arch implants are an advanced treatment that overcomes the limitations of conventional dentures while allowing you to enjoy all the benefits of full-mouth implants, and they are bringing a new quality of life to many patients.
We take responsibility for your dental health.
What is a candidate for full-arch implants?

Candidates for full-arch implants include patients in a variety of situations. The most typical case is a patient who is edentulous or has lost most of their teeth. This mainly applies to people who experience inconvenience from using dentures or whose dentures frequently come loose and move, interfering with daily life.
Also, patients who find full-mouth implants financially burdensome but want functions close to natural teeth are good candidates for full-arch implants. It is especially suitable for older adults or those for whom multiple surgeries are difficult because of systemic disease, as well as people who want to complete treatment in a short period of time.
Even in cases where jawbone loss makes standard implant placement difficult, 3D navigation technology may make bone grafting unnecessary in some cases, so these patients can also become candidates for full-arch implants.
What is a full-arch implant?
A full-arch implant is an advanced treatment that restores the entire upper or lower jaw with only 4 to 6 implants.
Unlike conventional implants, which place one implant for each tooth, full-arch implants restore the function of the entire set of teeth with a small number of strategically placed implants.
The key to this treatment lies in the technique of placing implants at special angles and positions. By using a 3D navigation system to place the implants in the appropriate locations, a fixed prosthesis can be attached on top to provide chewing force close to that of natural teeth.
With full-arch implants, a temporary prosthesis can be attached on the day of treatment, so the patient does not have to remain without teeth. The final prosthesis is completed within about 30 days after the gums heal and the implants stabilize, offering a relatively shorter treatment period compared with conventional methods.

What are the advantages of full-arch implants?
The first advantage of full-arch implants is cost-effectiveness. They are much more economical than replacing all teeth with individual implants, while still providing excellent function. Because the entire arch is restored with only 4 to 6 implants, both cost and time can be significantly reduced.
The second is that they help with recovery and returning to daily life. Since the surgical area is relatively small, recovery may be easier, and flapless treatment using 3D navigation may help reduce pain. Most patients can receive a temporary prosthesis on the day of treatment, which may help them return to daily life quickly.
The third is excellent functionality. It is superior to implant dentures, and chewing force close to that of natural teeth can be expected. Because it does not move at all in the mouth, you can enjoy meals comfortably.
The fourth is aesthetics. With a gum line delicately recreated using pink porcelain and natural-looking teeth made from zirconia, it creates an appearance that is as natural as your original gums and teeth.
Lastly, in some cases bone grafting may not be necessary. Even when jawbone is insufficient, the technique of placing implants at special angles and positions often means bone grafting may not be needed, reducing the burden of additional surgery.
What is the full-arch implant treatment process?
Full-arch implant treatment proceeds through a systematic four-step process.
- Step 1: Precise diagnosis and consultation
CT imaging and oral scanning are used to assess the patient's oral condition. The condition of the jawbone, gum health, overall systemic health, and more are comprehensively evaluated to determine suitability as a candidate for full-arch implants. During this process, the patient's expectations and treatment goals are clearly established.
- Step 2: 3D simulation and prosthesis design
A computer-based simulation procedure is performed using a 3D navigation system. The position and angle for implant placement are planned, and a custom prosthesis is designed for the patient. At this stage, a surgical guide is also fabricated to help prepare for a comfortable procedure.
- Step 3: Implant placement and temporary prosthesis attachment
This is the actual surgical stage and generally takes about 2 to 3 hours. The implants are placed in the planned positions using the 3D navigation guide, and a temporary prosthesis is attached on the same day. Since the procedure is performed without incision, it may help reduce pain.
- Step 4: Completion of the final prosthesis
Once the implants have stabilized with the jawbone and the gums have healed, the final prosthesis is attached within about 30 days. The final prosthesis is made from pink porcelain and zirconia, providing a natural appearance and excellent durability.

A new start to life with full-arch implants
Full-arch implants are more than just a way to restore teeth; they are a treatment that fundamentally improves the patient's quality of life. Those who have suffered from the inconvenience of dentures can regain the comfort of natural teeth and enjoy daily life with a confident smile.
With proper care, long-term use can be expected, and they can last even longer with regular checkups and proper oral hygiene. Since they can be maintained in the same way as natural teeth through brushing and flossing, no special care method is needed.
Even if you have systemic conditions such as diabetes or high blood pressure, the procedure is possible in most cases if the condition is well controlled. However, because precise diagnosis and individualized treatment planning are important, it is essential to determine the treatment direction through 충분한 consultation with experienced medical staff.

If you are holding on to new hope as a candidate for full-arch implants, do not hesitate any longer and seek a consultation with the medical team. It will be the first step toward your healthy smile and improved quality of life.
