Hello.
A place that does its best
for a healthy smile
This is Etoile de Seoul Dental Clinic.
Today, I have a story I really want to share with you. It is the heartfelt story of someone who came to see me.
I will never forget the day that person first came in.
We take responsibility for your dental health.
"Doctor, what am I supposed to do?"

That was the first thing 63-year-old Kim Ok-ja said as she opened the door to the treatment room. Tears were welling in her eyes.
"I’ve been wearing dentures for over 20 years, but now I’ve really reached my limit. It hurts every time I eat, air keeps leaking out when I speak... and when my grandson tries to hug me, I’m so afraid the dentures will come out that I can’t even hold him properly."
Listening to her story made my chest feel heavy. How frustrated must she have been.
"Yesterday there was a family gathering, but she couldn’t chew the food properly, so she kept eating porridge. Her son must have been heartbroken seeing that..." said the daughter-in-law who came with her, looking worried.
At that moment, I explained full-arch implants to Kim Ok-ja. I told her the hopeful news that even with just 4 to 6 implants, full dental function could be restored, and above all, that she could regain chewing strength up to 90% of natural teeth.
"Could that really be possible? Even at my age?" For the first time, a glimmer of hope appeared in her eyes.
The beginning of change, and small miracles
On the day of surgery, she was nervous, but she summoned her courage. The surgery, performed without incision using a 3D navigation system, went more smoothly than expected.
"Oh? It doesn’t hurt as much as I thought?"
That was what Kim Ok-ja said after the surgery and after the temporary prosthesis was attached. At that moment, the whole clinic seemed to brighten.
A week after the surgery, I received a call from Kim Ok-ja.
"Doctor! Last night was the first time in a long while that I slept deeply. It’s the first time in 20 years. I was able to fall asleep comfortably without worrying about pain or my dentures coming out."
I can’t even describe how much joy was in her voice. I felt happy too.
Two weeks later, there was even more surprising news.
"Doctor, I was able to hold my grandson close in my arms! He said, ‘Grandma, I can hear you clearly now.’ I really cried at that moment."
On the day her final prosthesis was fitted a month later, Kim Ok-ja was completely transformed. Her expression had brightened, and her voice sounded full of confidence.
"Now I can eat anything. Yesterday I ate galbi with my husband, and I could chew and enjoy it so much. It was the happiest meal I’ve had in my 40 years of marriage."
New life changes regained through full-arch implants
If you have long been tired of the discomfort of dentures, you may be wondering what amazing changes full-arch implants can bring. Full-arch implants are an innovative treatment that goes beyond simply restoring teeth and completely changes the quality of everyday life.
The biggest change is a dramatic improvement in chewing power. While conventional dentures were at about 60–80% of natural teeth, full-arch implants can restore chewing ability to around 90% of natural teeth. This means you can freely enjoy hard or chewy foods again and regain the pleasure of eating. Another major advantage is that temporary prostheses can be fitted on the same day as surgery, so there is no need to go without teeth.
Using a 3D navigation system, we perform full-arch implant treatment with a method that minimizes incisions as much as possible, reducing pain while increasing precision. Because full dental function is restored with only 4–6 implants, both cost and time are saved, and with proper care, the implants can be used for more than 10 years. The gum line, delicately recreated with pink porcelain, and the natural-looking teeth made with zirconia can produce highly satisfying aesthetic results, looking as natural as your own gums.
Patients who visit us experience not only normalization of dental function through full-arch implants, but also clearer speech and restored confidence. They can leave behind the instability and discomfort of dentures and regain a comfortable, natural daily life.
Another story of hope
Kim Ok-ja was not the only one.
There was also 71-year-old Park Yeon-nam. She had diabetes and was about to give up on implants, but when I told her that it was possible as long as her blood sugar was well managed, she shed tears of joy. Now, 30 days later, she has fully recovered and even goes hiking.
In the case of 45-year-old Choi In-hwa, it was even more special. She had suffered severe damage to her jawbone at a young age and felt hopeless, but we were able to successfully treat her by placing implants at a special angle, without bone grafting.
"Now I can smile confidently in front of my children. I’m no longer afraid to go to parents’ meetings."
When she said that, I felt deeply moved as well.
What really matters when looking for a place that does implant-supported dentures well?

When many people look for a place that does implant-supported dentures well, what criteria do they use to choose?
I remember what Kim Ok-ja told me after her treatment.
"At first, I only thought about the cost and the treatment period, but what really mattered was a place that understood how I felt. A place that truly empathized with my pain and gave me hope." That’s right. I believe the true meaning of a place that does implant-supported dentures well is not just technical skill, but a place that heals your heart as well.
Full-arch implants can give you a new life. The freshness you feel when waking up in the morning, enjoyable meals with your family, and a daily life where you can smile with confidence.
The recovery period is faster than you might expect. You can carry on with daily life using a temporary prosthesis from the day of surgery, and in most cases, all treatment is completed within 30 days. Even elderly patients can do this, so don’t give up because of your age.

Your tomorrow will surely be different
Six months later, how is Kim Ok-ja doing now?
When she came in recently for a routine checkup, she seemed like a completely different person. Her face was glowing, and her steps were lighter.
"Thanks to you, Doctor, I’m living a second life. I can travel now, eat delicious food with my friends as much as I want... I’m truly grateful."
Seeing her bright smile, I felt that I had truly made the right choice in doing this work.
If you are reading this now, you are surely carrying some pain or concern. But do not give up hope. Your tomorrow will surely be brighter than today.
Like Kim Ok-ja, like Park Yeon-nam, like Choi In-hwa, there will surely come a day when you can smile brightly again. Until that day comes, I will be with you.
If you are looking for a place that does implant-supported dentures well, technology is important, but first think about whether it is a place that truly understands your heart. Because that is where you can begin your new start together.
