If your dental concerns keep going,
this is Etoile de Seoul Dental Clinic.
First, I would like to offer a warm greeting to those who have come to this article while carrying dental concerns. If you were told that you need implants but felt weighed down by the news that your jawbone has been significantly resorbed and that bone grafting must come first, or if you have been tired from long-term denture use yet have not been able to start treatment easily, I think you may be reading this article.
Today, I will explain step by step what implants without bone grafting, called No-Bone Arch, are and for whom they can be a meaningful option.
Let me tell you about No-Bone Arch.
Why do we often hear that bone grafting must come first?

Many people may have visited several dental clinics only to hear the same thing each time. When the jawbone has been resorbed over a long period, it is difficult for implants to be fixed stably.
It is natural to feel a wave of concern about the scope of surgery, recovery time, and cost when you hear the word bone grafting.
The method of implants without bone grafting is drawing attention as a new possibility for people in this situation.
What principle is No-Bone Arch based on?
No-Bone Arch is a method that can help restore the function of all teeth in the upper or lower jaw with only 4 to 6 fixtures, even when there is insufficient jawbone, without bone grafting. The key is angle adjustment. Using 3D image analysis, the areas where enough bone remains are precisely identified, and then the implants are placed at an angled tilt.
It is similar to the principle that tent stakes stand more firmly when they are driven outward rather than straight down. Since graduating from Seoul National University College of Dentistry and continuing clinical practice for more than 20 years, I have deeply realized that this method can be a practical option for many people.
3D precision design and same-day temporary prosthesis placement
At Etoile de Seoul Dental Clinic, we use 3D CT, an intraoral scanner, Dio Navi Guide, and a 3D printer to pre-plan the implant position and insertion angle in a virtual space before surgery. Through this process, unnecessary incisions are reduced, and the implants are placed accurately at the planned location.

Another feature of the method without bone grafting is that a temporary prosthesis can be placed on the day of surgery.
In many cases, you can return to daily life from the same day without the inconvenience of living without teeth. The final prosthesis is placed after the gums and implants have become sufficiently stable. This is also why this method can be especially meaningful for people who have difficulty moving around, want to reduce the number of clinic visits, or are older.
Natural aesthetics and chewing function
The final prosthesis is made of zirconia, achieving a color and strength similar to natural teeth. The gum line is also delicately reproduced with pink porcelain, so you can expect results that look as natural as your original teeth.
Chewing function can also be helped to recover to about 90% of that of natural teeth, so in many cases you can comfortably eat most foods. Compared with implant dentures, whose chewing power remains at about 60% to 80% of natural teeth, the difference felt in daily life can be quite significant.
Who is this method suitable for?
Implants without bone grafting are especially a meaningful option for the following people.
Those whose jawbone has significantly resorbed after long-term denture use, those who feel a strong psychological or physical burden from bone grafting itself, those who want to shorten treatment time, and those who find it difficult to visit the clinic multiple times.
People with diabetes or high blood pressure may also be able to receive treatment depending on their overall health condition, but this must always be judged individually after a detailed diagnosis. It is not a method that applies equally to everyone, and an accurate examination including 3D CT is the starting point.

Care and warranty for long-term use
No matter how precisely the procedure is performed, aftercare determines the lifespan of the implant.
Proper brushing and flossing every day are essential, and regular checkups and scaling every 6 months are recommended. At Etoile de Seoul Dental Clinic, we provide customized care guidance suited to each visitor’s oral structure. For patients who have received full-arch implant treatment, we provide related free treatment services within 3 years.
We use only genuine implants and also operate a post-treatment care warranty system.
Implants without bone grafting are not suitable for everyone.
But if a detailed diagnosis confirms that it is possible, I believe my role is to guide you so that you can fully understand that option and make your decision. Dental health is directly connected to quality of life. I always support your healthy and comfortable everyday life.
