Full-mouth dental implants refer to a treatment that restores the entire upper or lower jaw with artificial teeth when few or no natural teeth remain.

When teeth have been missing for a long time, the problem is not limited to difficulty chewing.

Just as a house slowly sinks when its supporting pillars are removed, the jawbone gradually shrinks. The cheeks may become hollow, speech may become less clear, and avoiding favorite foods can also make it easier for nutritional balance to suffer.

In particular, when you develop a habit of chewing only on one side, your jaw may feel sore, and even the remaining teeth may become overloaded and start to loosen more frequently.

Many people also feel distressed when the contours of their face change and they appear older than their actual age.

So the old saying, “If you have no teeth, you live with your gums,” is by no means a comfortable reality when seen in the dental clinic.

People who use theirs for a long time have something in common

To be honest, dental implants are not machines that run on their own forever just because they have been placed once.

Just like natural teeth, they perform well for a long time when supported by daily brushing and flossing, regular checkups, and professional cleanings.

In practice, the lifespan of full-mouth dental implants varies considerably from person to person depending on gum-care habits, smoking status, overall health conditions such as diabetes, and how diligently regular checkups are attended.

With proper care, some people use theirs comfortably for more than ten years, but please remember that individual results vary.

I told the same thing to that woman.

Q1. Is there really a reason to choose Nobon Arch?

A. It can be helpful for people who have worn dentures for a long time and find that they repeatedly become loose, or for older adults who find multiple visits burdensome. When chewing function returns with fixed teeth, eating and conversation can become more comfortable, and it may also help slow the rate at which the jawbone shrinks.

Q2. How is it really different from dentures?

A. Dentures rest on the gums, so they may move or come out. With Nobon Arch, pillars placed in the bone provide support, so the teeth do not wobble inside the mouth. As a result, the chewing sensation is closer to that of natural teeth, and speech tends to sound more natural as well.

Q3. Can side effects occur?

A. Yes. As with all medical treatments, there are possible risks. Gum inflammation or early loosening may occur in rare cases. That is why regular checkups to monitor and address problems early are important, and I believe it is only right to explain this honestly.

Q4. So, exactly how many years can they last?
