Hello, this is Baba Plastic Surgery.
Today, we would like to introduce the one-month post-op real case of a patient who underwent their first eye and nose surgery at the same time.
Many people are curious about how much a face can change with simultaneous eye and nose surgery,
and in this case, the surgery was performed with the goal of creating an image that is “striking yet naturally refined.”
We will show the recovery process as well.
Pre-surgery history / Desired look

At the time of consultation, this model had previously received forehead filler one year earlier and Hi-CO treatment two months earlier.
They had a faint double eyelid and a habit of lifting the eyes by using the forehead, which caused discomfort,
and they hoped to improve the appearance of a slightly prominent nasal hump and a bulbous nose that looked broad from the front.
Surgical plan

The pre-surgery appearance showed generally soft facial features and a slight nasal hump, with a flat overall look due to a lack of dimensionality.
Taking these characteristics into account, we designed the surgical plan to widen the eye shape and refine the nose line.
Eyes: natural adhesion (semi-out) + four-direction canthoplasty (upper, inner, outer, lower)
*In the case of outer canthoplasty, there is a high possibility of re-fusion, so after assessing the model’s eye structure, we proceeded with the procedure as safely as possible up to the available space.
Nose: bulbous nose correction + hump nose correction + columella lowering (straight-to-low straight line)
Preparing for surgery

Step-by-step changes after eye and nose surgery

Days 1–3
Immediately after surgery, swelling mainly begins in the upper part of the face (eyelids, forehead, between the eyebrows, etc.) and may be accompanied by slight bleeding.
During this period, it may be difficult to open the eyes well, and they may feel heavy.
After nose surgery, the cotton placed inside the nose for hemostasis and support may cause discomfort.
The cotton inside the nose is removed the next day after surgery when you return to the clinic,
and in the early stage of surgery, cold compresses may help reduce swelling by constricting blood vessels and suppressing bleeding and inflammatory responses.
We also recommend keeping the upper body slightly raised and using a higher pillow while sleeping.

Week 1–2
After the acute swelling around the eyes and nose has subsided, it may move downward in the direction of gravity,
with swelling shifting from the upper area to the lower face, such as below the cheekbones, the cheeks, and the jaw.
At this stage, the compress method changes from cold compresses to warm compresses,
which may help blood circulation and speed up the absorption of residual swelling and bruising,
and we recommend taking light walks as well.

One month
At four weeks after surgery, most of the overall swelling has subsided, revealing the eye shape and nose line,
and this is when most patients can return to daily life and makeup routines without difficulty.
However, depending on the individual, a small amount of residual swelling may remain at the outer corners of the eyes or the tip of the nose,
and in such cases, it is better not to rush and to have enough recovery time and follow-up observation after thorough consultation with a specialist.
Changes after surgery

Eyes: Before surgery, the drooping eyelids led to a habit of overusing the forehead muscles to open the eyes,
but after surgery, the force used to open the eyes was no longer constrained by the forehead, allowing for a more comfortable field of vision and reducing forehead tension.
In addition, the previously closed-looking eye shape was improved into a brighter eye shape through four-direction canthoplasty, and the sleepy-looking impression was improved at the same time.

Nose: From the side, the uneven contour of the nasal bridge tended to give a strong impression,
and from the front, the blunt nostrils created a stuffy and dull appearance.
However, by correcting both the nasal hump and the bulbous nose at the same time, the bridge line became smooth and refined, and the nostrils became more sophisticated and dimensional,
bringing out greater dimensionality in the overall face and improving it to a more balanced impression.

The reason a natural and highly satisfying change is possible even in a first-time cosmetic surgery case like this one is
due to Baba Plastic Surgery’s unique design planning and detailed surgical methods.
If you are considering combined eye and nose surgery,
we recommend consulting based on cases that are stable in both the recovery process and surgical results.
Thank you.
