Hello, this is Baba Plastic Surgery.
If you have experienced double eyelid surgery before, you probably know how disappointing it can be when the results fall short of expectations.
Every year, more and more people consider revision surgery because the line has loosened, there is asymmetry, or the impression looks unnatural.
So, is double eyelid revision surgery really possible without scarring?
Based on our experience performing many revision cases, we would like to introduce the 3 key tips that anyone considering double eyelid revision surgery
must know.

✅TIP 1
Scars should not be made to disappear, but to be 'less visible'
In the case of double eyelid revision surgery, the surgeon has to access an area that was already incised before,
so rather than saying there is absolutely "no" scar, the important thing is to make it as unnoticeable as possible.
For natural-looking scar coverage,
-
How precisely the existing incision line can be used
-
Whether the condition of the skin and the degree of scar hardening can be accurately assessed
These two points are key.
At Baba Plastic Surgery, we apply each person's facial balance and skin type,
and design the procedure to minimize tissue damage and scar formation through careful dissection of adherent tissue.
As a result, many patients recover to eyes with even more natural lines despite having undergone revision surgery.

✅ TIP 2
A sufficient recovery period of at least 6 months should be confirmed first
Deciding on revision surgery before at least 6 months have passed after the first surgery can be very risky.
That is because if the area is re-entered before the swelling or tissue has fully settled, the scar may become larger and the outcome becomes harder to predict.
At Baba Plastic Surgery, rather than simply asking about the timing,
we carefully evaluate various factors such as fat resorption, line fixation strength, and recovery of skin elasticity before advising whether surgery is possible.

✅ TIP 3
In revision surgery, 'line design' is the key
Once the eye has undergone surgery, its structure has already changed,
so in revision surgery, rather than simply recreating the existing line, a completely new design perspective is needed.
Most revision surgery patients are

- the line is too high, or
2) the double eyelid has loosened and the eyes look heavy, or

- the eyes have become unnatural,
which is why they want revision surgery.
At this point, what matters is not just the double eyelid line itself,
but a redesign that comprehensively considers the overall balance of the eyes, muscle movement, and eyelid sagging.
Actual eye revision surgery case
Baba Plastic Surgery consultation manager
In fact, one of our managers who works at the clinic also underwent a third eye revision surgery at Baba Plastic Surgery.

This was a case of a double eyelid that kept loosening over time and had been a long-standing concern,
and we performed incision double eyelid revision surgery + incisional eye correction + canthoplasty at the same time.
In particular, we raised the left double eyelid line by about 2 to 2.5 mm so that it would be symmetrical with the right side,
correcting it into a clearer and more refined in-out line.
After the surgery, the strength of eyelid opening improved significantly, lifting the drooping eyes more clearly,
and the direction of the eye corners was also adjusted, creating a brighter and more confident impression.

In fact, after the surgery, the manager received so many requests from patients during consultations saying, “Please make mine like the manager’s eyes,”
that it directly demonstrated satisfaction with and trust in the surgical results.
The manager’s case became
a representative indicator of Baba Plastic Surgery’s revision surgery expertise.

it is important to find a verified medical team with accurate understanding and extensive experience.
At Baba Plastic Surgery, our eye revision surgeries are based on skilled technique, and for each patient we more carefully analyze the cause of failure
and prioritize patient safety and satisfaction when determining and performing the most appropriate surgical method.
