If the issue is not weakened eye-opening strength but the skin has sagged significantly, causing the eyelid to droop, upper blepharoplasty may be more appropriate.

Upper blepharoplasty is usually performed more often for middle-aged patients in their 40s and 50s.

In people in their 40s and 50s, there are many cases where weakened eye-opening strength accompanies sagging skin.

Therefore, in many cases, it is not enough to simply remove wrinkled skin and unnecessary fat with upper blepharoplasty; eyelid correction must also be combined to improve muscle weakness at the same time.
