The eyes are a part of the body that greatly affects a person’s overall impression. They are also one of the most commonly operated-on areas in plastic surgery. However, because of that, I worry that people may have become too casual about surgery.
If you are reading this, you may also be deciding on surgery after getting information online.
What Reborn Plastic Surgery Clinic, which has performed eyelid surgery for many people over the past 20 years, would like to ask of you is to “make your decision a little more carefully.” ^^
Since there are so many different eyelid surgery methods, please first check whether the clinic provides thorough, personalized consultations before creating a surgical plan.
At Reborn Plastic Surgery Clinic, we also make personalized eyelid surgery for each individual our principle.
Based on the know-how we have accumulated while performing eyelid surgery for countless patients, we will explain some points that may help you achieve a satisfying result. ^^
There are countless surgical techniques for the eyelid surgery you may be looking for. These can differ slightly depending on the plastic surgeon, and satisfaction levels may also vary accordingly.
In addition, the appropriate surgical method can differ depending on each person’s eye condition. Because this must be carefully checked and a surgical plan must be established, it is best to find a plastic surgery clinic that conducts a thorough consultation process in advance.
Rather than deciding on surgery right away, we recommend first receiving consultations. It is important to get consultations from about two or three places and then find the one that creates a surgical plan based on detailed counseling.
Before the consultation, it is good to have at least basic information about the eyelid surgery you are considering. We will briefly explain double eyelid surgery and ptosis correction, two representative types of eyelid surgery.

#Double Eyelid Surgery
Double eyelid surgery can be broadly divided into the incisional method and the non-incisional method.
The incisional method creates a more defined double eyelid line through an incision in the eye area, while the non-incisional method creates a natural double eyelid line without making an incision.
Since the surgical methods are different, the advantages and disadvantages can also differ. In fact, even if you want a specific surgery, it cannot always be performed unconditionally.
The better method depends on the patient’s eye condition and circumstances.
In particular, if the conditions make the double eyelid line likely to loosen after non-incisional double eyelid surgery, that method may not be suitable.
This applies to people with weak eye-opening strength, thick skin, or a large amount of soft tissue.
In such cases, the incisional method of double eyelid surgery is more suitable.

#Ptosis Correction
Ptosis correction is an eyelid procedure suitable for people with ptosis, where weakened eye-opening muscles cause the pupil to be covered by the eyelid, or for people with asymmetrical eyes.
In the case of ptosis, it creates a sleepy-looking appearance externally, which is aesthetically concerning. The more severe the symptoms, the more they can cause functional impairment of the eyes.
It can also create differences in the size of the two eyes, increase the likelihood of astigmatism, reduce vision, and contribute to wrinkles on the forehead and around the eyes.
If you have ptosis but only undergo double eyelid surgery, the eyelid line may become larger while the eyes themselves appear smaller, creating a “sausage eye” appearance. The muscles that open the eyes, the eyebrows, and the forehead remain engaged, so the eyes may look even sleepier.
There is also a high chance that you may sleep with your eyes open or that the line may loosen.
In this case, ptosis correction should be performed to help correct the ptosis, and ptosis correction also has incisional and non-incisional methods.
If the eyelid skin is thin, the amount of soft tissue is small, or the ptosis symptoms are not severe, the non-incisional method may be possible.
However, if the ptosis is severe or the eyelid skin is thick and there is a large amount of soft tissue, the incisional method may be more suitable.

For reference, our clinic performs the Vivids Magic Burial Method, which combines the buried-suture method and ptosis correction at the same time.
With a double knot, it can make the double eyelid line more secure and firmly correct the muscles that open the eyes, helping to create a clearer eye shape.
As mentioned earlier, there are various methods for eyelid surgery, and each plastic surgeon may have slightly different techniques, so please examine this carefully before deciding on surgery.
At Reborn Plastic Surgery Clinic, we help provide not one-size-fits-all eyelid surgery, but thorough, personalized procedures tailored to each individual. If you would like a consultation, you are welcome to visit us.
Based on our extensive experience, we will create an eyelid surgery plan customized to your condition.
