<Case 2. Endoscopic Forehead Lift for a Man>

I’d like to introduce one more case: a young male patient.

Case 2. Male Endoscopic Forehead Lift (Before)

You can see several wrinkles on the forehead, right?

Even though he is not looking up at the ceiling,

the fact that forehead wrinkles are already forming means

he is opening his eyes by lifting his eyebrows upward.

To help you understand a bit better,

I have marked blue arrows.

In the direction of the ↑↑ arrows,

he is lifting his eyebrows to open his eyes,

and as a result, the forehead wrinkles are deeply formed.

If, here, you do not think about the eyes

and instead worry about forehead wrinkles

and then undergo a procedure called forehead Botox,

what kind of result would appear?

Male Forehead Wrinkles Before forehead Botox / after forehead Botox.

Because the eyes feel heavy and he opens them by using the eyebrows,

if forehead Botox is administered,

the forehead wrinkles will certainly soften,

but as the forehead relaxes,

the eyebrows come down,

making the upper eyelids feel even heavier

and causing the small eyes to look even smaller.

This is the same photo referenced in Part 1.

As the forehead wrinkles smooth out,

the skin stretches in the direction of the red arrows,

and the eyebrows press down on the eyes.

In Case 2, for the male patient,

he wanted to improve things with double eyelid surgery alone,

but for a better result,

it took some convincing to proceed with a male endoscopic forehead lift..^^ The heavy fullness above the eyes

often does not produce a satisfying result

even if skin removal and fat above the eyes

(Retro Orbicularis Oculi Fat, ROOF, fat located beneath the upper orbicularis oculi muscle)

are removed.

Since Case 2 was a man

and he said the line did not need to be made very high,

if we were to create a low double eyelid line without incision as the patient wanted....

The eye size would barely change,

and the skin would fold (light green arrow),

making the heaviness of the upper eyelids worse.

The regret would be the patient’s burden,

but I did not want to create that result.

Therefore, for Case 2, at Midline,

we performed an endoscopic forehead lift to relax and elevate the heavy eyebrows and forehead,

which

1. smoothed the forehead wrinkles that appeared even just by opening the eyes,
2. reduced the bulky feeling of the upper eyelids, and
3. made the small eyes look larger.

He also had a lot of lower eyelid fat,

so we performed lower eyelid fat repositioning and lower eyelid fat grafting together.

Before / after photos of Case 2, the male patient’s endoscopic forehead lift and lower eyelid fat repositioning.

This was the second part intended to show that

you should let go of the prejudice that the only way to make eyes bigger is through double eyelid surgery.

In conclusion, the way to make eyes look bigger without double eyelid surgery

was an endoscopic forehead lift (for men).

Both of the patients above later decided to have double eyelid surgery as well,

so if there is an opportunity,

I will share their changed eye shape after the double eyelid surgery.

My father had a wedding gift watch

that he received when he got married. It is now part of his belongings,

and I inherited it and use it myself.

It is a Rolex DATEJUST men’s vintage 16014 model.

Since it is a 1978 model, it has held

43 years of history.

The watch kept running slow, so I looked into it, and found that it needs an overhaul at least every five years.

It turns out the last service was more than 10 years ago.

It seems Rolex keeps records even if the overhaul is done somewhere else.

So

I went to a place called

the front crystal must be replaced.

They said the repair would take one month.

These days, even a month passes by quickly... maybe because I’m getting older...ㅠㅠ

Finally, I got it back. ^^

Because the crystal was replaced,

the scratches that were there before are gone, so it looks even newer. (To my eyes, anywayㅎㅎ)

The time is no longer running slow, and it has become accurate.

Sometimes it can bring back

good memories of my father,

so it is a watch with great meaning to me^^

I will keep it well,

and if I have a son in the future,

I plan to pass it on to him;

if not, I will pass it on to my son-in-law.

Those times will probably come

before I know it. ^-T

I shouldn’t be fussing over small things,

but that is not easy to do

in the life people live.
