The space between the eyes and eyebrows is close,
and the eyelids look droopy and heavy.
It can be resolved with a forehead lift.

Just 5 years ago,
many people did not know about forehead lifts,
and there were not that many doctors
performing forehead lift surgery.
However, nowadays,
more and more people come in already knowing about it,
and there are also many doctors who perform the surgery.
At first, because of the name “forehead lift,”
many people thought it was a surgery only for older people,
but now patients in their 20s and of various age groups
are considering forehead lifts
and coming in for consultations.
Among the people who come in for forehead lift consultations now,
the ratio of younger patients and somewhat older patients
is almost half and half.
Today, let’s go back to the basics of forehead lifts
and introduce the cases that most need one.

Cases that most need a forehead lift
The cases that most need a forehead lift
are those in which, more than any other surgery,
a forehead lift produces excellent results.
A forehead lift
is considered an anti-aging procedure
because of the word “lift.”
The cases that need a forehead lift are those with drooping eyelids.
A drooping eyelid is not only treated with a forehead lift.
There are three ways to address drooping eyelids.
There are three ways to address drooping eyelids.
First,
the method of making an incision close to the eyelashes
is the well-known upper blepharoplasty.

is attached in the image below.

Second is
a subbrow lift.

is attached in the image below.

Third is
a forehead lift.
Because it is done endoscopically,
it is also called an endoscopic forehead lift.

When I perform forehead lift surgery,
during endoscopic dissection,
I separate the corrugator and depressor muscles
(commonly called the frown muscles)
and the procerus muscle
so that the inner brows can also rise sufficiently.

Usually, websites or videos explaining forehead lifts
only mention the frown muscles,
but the procerus muscle also needs to be separated.
I have a video filmed during surgery that I want to show,
but they said I cannot upload it under medical law...
What a pity.
If you come to our clinic
and ask, I will show it to you.
Among the three ways to address drooping eyelids,
the first, upper blepharoplasty, and the second, subbrow lift,
are surgeries that make the distance between the eyes and eyebrows closer.
That is because they remove the skin
between the eyelashes and the eyebrows.
So for a case like this patient,
those are not suitable surgeries.
When the eyes and eyebrows are close together,
the eyelid skin is arranged in a narrower area,
so even if there is not much fat above the eyes,
they can look puffy and heavy,
creating a stuffy feeling.

Forehead lift
Looking at this patient’s eye area,
the eyes and eyebrows are close together,
and you can see the eyelids stretching and drooping outward
past the outer corners of the eyes.
Because the eyes feel heavy, the forehead is used to open them,
and wrinkles have formed on the forehead.
So in cases like this,
a forehead lift is not only the most effective option,
but improvement is possible only through a forehead lift.
As a secondary issue,
the under-eye fat is also noticeable.
Under-eye fat repositioning and fat grafting were also performed.

With an endoscopic forehead lift, the puffy upper eyelids and drooping eyelids were resolved. Volume was added to the forehead, and the wrinkles were also smoothed out.
I will show the post-op photo
without the arrows on the image
again.
The under-eye area also looks brighter.
CHECK point!!!

The hidden double eyelid became visible with the forehead lift, and the drooping around the eyes was improved.
This is how I introduced a case
that can only be solved by a forehead lift,
is effective with a forehead lift,
and looks better after surgery.
-
If the eyes and eyebrows are close together and the impression looks strong,
-
If you think the upper eyelids have a lot of fullness,
-
If you are concerned about drooping around the eyes
