Midlife cosmetic surgery_Explained by Dr. Kim Jun-hyun.
In this episode of Midlife Cosmetic Surgery, the endoscopic forehead lift,
✔️ Drooping eyelids
✔️ Deep forehead and nasal bridge wrinkles
✔️ A sunken forehead that makes the brow bone look prominent
We’ll take a look at how the eye area and forehead improved.

Before forehead lift, lower blepharoplasty, and under-eye fat grafting
Looking at the preoperative photos of this man in his 50s,
the eyelids are stretched and the area above the eyes is sagging,
and the space between the eyes and eyebrows is narrow.
There is also a horizontal wrinkle on the nasal bridge.
(The forehead is not deeply wrinkled, but there are wrinkles there as well.)
We’ve already explained many times what kind of surgery is needed in cases like this, right?^^
Yes, this is a condition that calls for an endoscopic forehead lift.

Endoscopic forehead lift
In the case of this man in his 50s,
the skin under the eyes was also stretched and the wrinkles were severe, so lower blepharoplasty and under-eye fat grafting were performed together.

Before/after forehead lift, lower blepharoplasty, and under-eye fat grafting
As the forehead sags, the eyebrows drop,
the eyelids sag,
and horizontal wrinkles form on the nasal bridge.
Because the eyes feel heavy, you raise your brows,
which creates forehead wrinkles,
and the forehead becomes sunken.
Since the sagging forehead is pressing down on the eyebrows,
lifting it is the solution.
That is the endoscopic forehead lift.
This is something I’ve mentioned repeatedly in previous forehead lift posts as well.^^
The natural forehead volume that appears after a forehead lift,
I’ll explain it with photos.

The brow bone is prominent, and the forehead above it is sunken
From the side, the area just above the eyebrows is prominent,
and the forehead above it is sunken.
In addition, the sagging around the eyes
is marked with a light blue dotted circle.
As is often the case with men, this person had not paid much attention to forehead volume.
Even so, after the forehead lift,
they were happy to say that volume had appeared in the forehead.^^
Because it was natural forehead volume, not from fat grafting or forehead filler,
they were even more satisfied.
One of the things people who undergo a forehead lift often ask about during consultation and follow-up is forehead volume.
Does forehead volume appear after a forehead lift?
Is it swelling from the forehead lift?

After a forehead lift,
the forehead seems to gain volume (or did gain volume),
and people ask whether this is swelling, and if it is not swelling,
how long it lasts.
"Does forehead volume appear after a forehead lift?"
Once a month has passed and all the swelling has gone down,
the natural forehead volume from that state
continues to be maintained.
To look at the principle behind it,
let’s place the before and after photos side by side and compare them.

Before/after endoscopic forehead lift
On the left photo, the area just above the eyebrows
(the fluorescent light-green arrow) sits higher.
And in the right photo,
you can see that the eyebrows have moved to where
the fluorescent light-green arrow had been.
At the same time, as the entire forehead is smoothed out,
it appears with a natural sense of volume.
This has been a time to show that through a forehead lift,
natural forehead volume is also created as a secondary benefit.

Wait!!
Not only in the case of this man in his 50s, who gained forehead volume after a forehead lift,
but for women as well, after a forehead lift,
the brow bone becomes less visible,
and natural forehead volume appears.
I expected you would be curious,
so I also prepared before-and-after photos of women’s forehead lifts.^^
