Hello~^-^ This is Director Kim Jun-hyeon.
Part 1: Aligning the center line of the face (midline)

How to fix facial asymmetry
As our plastic surgery clinic (hospital) name is "Midline," we
place great importance on aligning the center and achieving symmetry.
Facial asymmetry
is related to all surgeries.
To give a few examples of the surgeries I perform,
in forehead lift surgery,
I consider eyebrow height differences and eye asymmetry,
and for midface and lower blepharoplasty, I look at the degree of asymmetry in the amount of protruding under-eye fat pockets
and under-eye hollowness.
In facial contouring surgery,
I plan the surgery by considering differences in the size and position of the bones on both sides,
and I try to correct them by performing the surgery in a way that improves that asymmetry.
This time,
-
The chin tip is deviated to one side, and
-
I will introduce how to solve facial asymmetry caused by differences in the size of the square jaw
without surgery.

Fixing facial asymmetry without surgery
This patient had under-eye fat repositioning.
This patient’s facial asymmetry shows that
the chin tip is slightly turned to the left,
and the right square jaw is larger than the left,
so asymmetry is visible in the lower face (jaw).
For easier understanding, I marked the direction of the asymmetry
with arrows in the photo below.

If the larger right jaw becomes smaller, similar to the left jaw,
and the chin tip that is turned to the left moves slightly to the right,
it can create a more balanced face.
Facial asymmetry at this level
is not something that must be resolved with surgery
such as square jaw surgery or chin surgery.
It can be easily corrected with a simple aesthetic procedure
without surgery.

With right square jaw Botox and chin filler.
This is a photo taken one month after the right square jaw Botox and chin filler procedure.

Improvement in lower-face asymmetry
Let's take a look at the face as a whole.

The chin midline has been corrected and the right square jaw has become smaller, resolving the asymmetry.
The chin midline has been corrected,
and the right square jaw has become smaller, so the asymmetry has
been resolved.

The difference in how facial asymmetry and symmetry
feel is definitely noticeable.
They said they didn’t know facial asymmetry could be improved with such a simple procedure.
The patient was very satisfied.
I made this to let people know,
for those who worry about facial asymmetry
but are afraid of surgery. ^-^

The center line that forms facial symmetry, the center of beauty, Midline Plastic Surgery
Next time,
when the chin is recessed, chin asymmetry
may not stand out,
but by advancing the chin,
the chin asymmetry becomes visible,
and by re-aligning and fixing it during surgery,
I will introduce a chin surgery case
that aligns the midline.
