A forehead lift is a very good surgery for people with drooping eyelids.
I explained those points in an earlier post as well.

A forehead lift can smooth forehead wrinkles and bridge-of-the-nose wrinkles,
and for people with a lot of volume in the upper eyelids, it can also make the area feel lighter.
And, like other surgeries where scars are not easily visible,
a lack of visible scarring around the eyes after a forehead lift is also a very big advantage.
I also explained brow lift surgery.

But what should you do if your eyelids are drooping and you keep using your forehead a lot, yet the sagging eyelids still are not resolved?
For people like this, because they are essentially opening their eyes with their forehead,
the forehead is wrinkled,
and the brows are also being lifted that much,
so the distance between the eyes and brows is not close.
During consultations, I say, "A month after the forehead lift, it will look like this."
Then I place my hand on the forehead and have the patient raise their brows. At that time, there are patients whose forehead muscles are already lifting the brows as much as possible,
to the point where the brows can no longer go any higher.

If the brows are already being raised as much as possible like this,
unfortunately it is difficult to expect a dramatic change through a forehead lift.ㅠㅠ
Instead, I explain that the wrinkled forehead will be smoothed out, and that even without using the forehead,
the same level of eye shape as seen during the consultation will be maintained.

Because of that, it is only natural to feel somewhat disappointed.
You came to improve sagging eyelids and achieve a clear, bright eye shape.
So in these cases, the additional surgery needed is
b.r.o.w. l.i.f.t.
In cases where the eyelids are very droopy and cannot be corrected with a forehead lift alone,
combining a brow lift with a forehead lift can produce good results.
Looking at the photo, the forehead wrinkles are already deeply set.
That is because the forehead is used a lot in daily life when opening the eyes,
For people whose wrinkles are clearly visible and whose eyes and brows are far apart like this,
even if a forehead lift is performed, the sagging eyelids may not be fully corrected. ㅠㅠ

So for this patient, we planned surgery to smooth the wrinkled forehead with a forehead lift,
and to address the extra sagging eyelid skin once more with a brow lift.
In addition, for the lower eyelids, which had under-eye fat and fine wrinkles,
we decided to combine lower blepharoplasty and fat grafting.
Left) Before surgery / Right) 6 months after surgery
Left) Before surgery / Right) 6 months after surgery
These are photos taken 6 months after the forehead lift, brow lift, and lower blepharoplasty.
If only the forehead lift had been done, the skin covering the pupils would likely still have remained,
but by also performing the brow lift, the result was well corrected.
And the lower eyelids were also satisfactory.
In cases like this, where the forehead is used a lot and the eyelids are severely sagging,
and the distance between the eyes and brows is not close,
a forehead lift + brow lift can be the answer, so I hope this is helpful.
