This time, I’d like to introduce a patient who came in because they were unhappy with the shape of a forehead implant that had been placed earlier.

Many people get implants placed in the forehead for semi-permanent forehead volume.

However, they may not like the shape created by the implant.

And after a long time has passed, blood can also sometimes accumulate.

This patient had a forehead implant inserted 10 years ago.

Even at a glance, the upper forehead volume looks excessive. They said they wanted it removed.

The upper forehead looks overvolumed due to the forehead implant.

In my opinion, the space between the eyes and eyebrows was also narrow, so this was a case where a forehead lift would be beneficial.

I asked whether they were satisfied with the double eyelids, and as expected, they said their eyes looked heavy.

The eyes look heavy because the distance between the eyes and eyebrows is narrow, and there are dark circles under the eyes.

I recommended a forehead lift, and they liked the expected change in their eyes, so we performed it at the same time.

They also had severe dark circles, so we did that as well.^^

A CT scan was performed to check the position and condition of the forehead implant.

You can see something that looks like pieces of bone in the forehead.

This is because the capsule surrounding the implant has become calcified, making it appear that way.

The calcified capsule was removed along with the implant.

Forehead implant removal can be sufficiently performed through the incision used for the forehead lift.

Unlike forehead reduction surgery, it can be removed without making a long incision along the hairline!

This is 7 days after surgery.

The excessive volume in the upper forehead has decreased, creating a more natural forehead shape.

Since it is only day 7, the forehead lift is still in an overcorrected state. It will settle slightly over time and become more natural.

Lastly, the dark circles under the eyes have also lightened, creating a much less tired appearance.
