[2-Day, 1-Night Domestic Trip] Hongcheon Sono Felice Village Vivaldi Park Gold Suite

This is the season somewhere between spring and summer, when the weather is so nice that you naturally start thinking about going on a trip. The sun is pleasant, it is not yet as hot as summer, and when the wind blows, it still feels cool. For those of you planning a short 2-day, 1-night domestic trip during this season, I’d like to introduce Sono Felice Village Vivaldi Park from my Hongcheon 1-night, 2-day trip, hoping it might be of some help.

It was a 1-night, 2-day domestic trip where everything, starting with the weather, was absolutely perfect.

Everyone has a slightly different travel style. Some people like to sit still and enjoy a resort, while others want to go everywhere and explore. This trip to Gangwon Province was taken with the simple idea of eating good food and resting, so I paid attention to the accommodation.

Hongcheon Sono Felice Vivaldi Park may sound unfamiliar, but if I say the former Daemyung Resort, everyone will know it!!

I heard the name was changed to Sono Felice in 2019.

So when you think of Hongcheon Sono Felice Vivaldi Park, the first thing that comes to mind is naturally Ocean World. It would have been nice to enjoy some water activities, but since this 1-night, 2-day trip was about relaxing comfortably, we booked a Gold Suite located with a view of the golf course.

There are 16 Gold Suite Deluxe units across 4 buildings, I’m told.

Although they are the same size, 1 unit has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathtub, 2 bathrooms, and 2 shower booths, while the other 15 units have 3 bedrooms, 1 bathtub, 2 bathrooms, and 2 shower booths.

Since this village is located right in front of the Sono Felice C.C. golf course, it is more often visited by groups of 4 or more rather than by 1 or 2 people. Perhaps because of that, each of the 3 bedrooms has a separate bathroom and shower booth, so even though it is a shared space, it feels like separate spaces.

We chose a room type with 3 bedrooms. The bedrooms consisted of 2 rooms: one with a double bed and one with a single bed.

The bedrooms feel like personal spaces, while the living room and kitchen, which everyone can enjoy together, feel separate yet still in one space.

We weren’t there to play golf, so I think we spent most of our time together in the living room.

Since this 2-day, 1-night trip to Gangwon Province was meant for resting and eating delicious food, we unpacked a little after arriving, got rid of the slight fatigue from the drive, and immediately started our mukbang.

First, we started with delicious Hanwoo!! Beef.

After placing a piece of meat on the grill, we put herbs on top so that the aroma could infuse the meat. Honestly, it would have been nice to place the herbs on the meat in advance and let it marinate, but since we couldn’t do that, we tried this instead, and even so, the herb aroma still came through well in the meat.

After cooking one side thoroughly, we flipped it over. Fortunately, everyone agreed on how to grill and eat the beef, so there was no difficulty cooking it.

As we cut the meat into bite-sized pieces, its tenderness was immediately apparent, and it really looked so delicious.

Asparagus, mini cabbages, whole garlic, and mushrooms go well with beef!!

And just like that, a perfect plate was completed.

Hanwoo really is Hanwoo. It melted in my mouth, and it was so delicious. I thought we had grilled a large amount, but before I knew it, it was gone. As expected, meat tastes delicious no matter what when you eat it somewhere other than home.

Eating just meat is filling, but something still feels missing.

Vegetables to wrap with, various sauces, and all kinds of kimchi made by one of our companion’s mother!! The cucumber kimchi was so delicious, and the young napa cabbage kimchi we ate with ramen for dinner was the best.

I fell in love with her cooking.

We ate so well and enjoyed it so much.

To make up for missing beef, we’re going to satisfy ourselves with pork belly.

After plating the beef, we immediately placed the pork belly on the grill, so we could keep the flow going and eat it without interruption. And the kimchi grilled in pork belly fat needs no explanation!!

Beef is delicious too, but when you’re traveling, I think you really feel like you’re on a trip when you eat pork belly.

The main purposes of this 1-night, 2-day domestic trip to Hongcheon, Gangwon Province, at Sono Felice Village Vivaldi Park Gold Suite, seem to have been fulfilled perfectly: resting and eating delicious food.

When you go on a trip with good people, even for a short while, you get refreshed and are able to happily go through your daily routine again.

A new week has begun.
