Jeju Trip Part 2: I Went to Eat a Handmade Burger at Piz Aewol.

You might say it doesn’t make sense to eat a hamburger on a trip to Jeju, but these days it’s popular to enjoy a hamburger while looking at the sea. As everyone knows, Jeju is famous for pork. If it’s a handmade burger made with a patty using that pork, that changes the story.

Maybe that’s why, when you search for great places to eat or local food on a Jeju trip these days, hamburger shops stand out a lot.

Piz Aewol

Among them, Piz Aewol, located in Handam Beach where you can enjoy a delicious handmade burger while looking at the sea, caught my attention.

They say Piz Aewol makes burgers with freshly baked buns every day, and because of that, the visuals are no joke.

I could understand why people say you have to eat a handmade burger at Piz Aewol during a Jeju trip.

Handmade burgers are really delicious, but as you eat them, the sauce and even the vegetables inside tend to spill out, so if you eat them the wrong way, they can get really messy. But since everything is packaged neatly one by one like this, I think it’s great that you can eat the burger cleanly.

A burger wouldn’t be complete without fries.

The fries were definitely more delicious because they weren’t just pre-fried ones; they were fried after ordering, so they were warm. And instead of thin fries, they were thick-cut fries, which made it easy to enjoy the potato flavor. That was also very nice.

Unlike ordinary hamburgers, the handmade burger at Piz Aewol in Jeju uses grilled vegetables. Because of that, the combination of the juicy patty and the grilled vegetables inside the burger was amazing. I immediately understood why it’s famous as a burger hot spot.

Piz Aewol is not only famous for its Jeju handmade burgers, but also highly appealing for its interior with a somewhat hip vibe.

And at Piz Aewol, they were also selling custom goods made with their own logo. These days, it seems that even stores that don’t sell fashion items are branding themselves this way and introducing a variety of products.

I went to Piz Aewol after looking at the sea at Hyeopjae Beach and driving along the coastline.

The atmosphere at Hyeopjae Beach felt so exotic that it completely drew me in.
